Red Wolfe

Just your friendly neighborhood tea drinker. From high end to hotel tea bags, I drink it all. The more I try, the more I can appreciate the best and laugh at the bad. Either way, I have a good time with my cup of hot leaf juice. I especially love anything on the sweet side.

  • Love Potion #9

    

Ginger and raspberry are a wonderful duo. Like drinking a heavenly little pastry, and I recommend adding milk and sugar.

  • DOTS AND LOOPS

    

The flavor is light, but bright. It's a lovely crisp type of apple taste and not very sweet. The fennel adds a nice layer to the basic, but good flavor.

  • THE BLACK LODGE

    

You ever have one of those flaming banana crepes? This tastes very similar to one of them. The dominant flavor is smokey tea, but that banana is doing something magic in there.

  • Ali Shan Special

    

A wonderfully light and smooth oolong. The flavors are perfectly floral like the beginnings of spring, and there's a bit of a mineral note in the background. Overall, an excellent tea any oolong fan should try.

  • ALMOND PEAR CHAI

    

Soft and gently, the comfort of a spiced pear in the cold of winter made perfect for any time of year. The light flavor is a perfect accompaniment to an afternoon tea.

  • WATERMELON OOLONG

    

The flavor is excellent, but a bit too light. Once the flavor makes itself known, it's like a liquid jolly rancher or a lovely melon granita.

  • Wakoucha

    

This is an extremely unusual black tea. It has a fresh apple and wood flavor, like fall incarnate. The texture is smooth as can be, and this heavenly flavor lingers on the palate for a while after drinking.

  • Monk's Blend

    

Thick, full mouthfeel with a lovely, sweet taste to it. The leaves have a nice balance of smoothness and a little astringency, perfect for relaxing and reenergizing.

  • Bohemian Raspberry

    

Pretty solid for a tea I bought because it had a really funny name. The raspberry was nice and strong, but it had kind of a funky aftertaste. I enjoyed it a lot though.

  • Witch's Broom

    

Delicious! I love the woody, oaky flavors this tea brings to the table. Not only are the leaves beautiful to look at, but the brew itself is layered with all the tastes of a hike. There's a light smokey taste on later brews that I adore.

  • GOLDEN ARROW

    

Wonderful tea, like an old library. The lapsang smoke taste is subdued to a comforting embrace, and it makes a perfect compainion to a good book.

  • Minty Comfort

    

Mint and lemon play perfectly together, like a warm ray of sunlight. When iced, it's very soothing and feels great on your throat.

  • Buttery Shortbread Herbal Tea

    

This tea is silky smooth and incredibly comforting. There's a fresh baked warmth to it, with a hint of berry taste, more like a buttered scone than a shortbread.

  • Demon Slayer

    

Very tasty, with mineral notes and a heavy taste of rain on rocks, or iron. I could compare it to pool water in mouthfeel, but it tastes great. Not heavy at all, and super smooth.

  • Grandpa's

    

This was pretty ok. The flavor was pretty weak and generic, but extremely forgiving. Long steeps are the way to go if you want to get a strong taste out of this tea.

  • Hotline Space Coyote

    

Brew this one with cooler water. While the flavor is good, sort of "decaying hay" if that makes sense, it easily gets astringent. It's an enjoyable, lingering tea though.

  • Cat Scratch

    

Cinnamon? Yes. Caramel? More please! It's a nice twist on the classic tiger eye, and the cinnamon adds a good pop to it. Milk and sugar are recommended.

  • Decaf Apricot

    

While the smell was irresistible, the taste was kind of flat. It's not as good as the full caffeine version, but it's still got that lovely apricot taste.

  • Peaches N' Cream Oolong

    

Summery peach goodness. Hot, it's faintly sweet with a taste like melted peach ice cream. Iced, it's like peach melba without the raspberry.

  • Raspberry Cocoa Truffle

    

The raspberry comes through beautifully in this silky smooth brew. Like a decadent chocolate and raspberry tart, each sip perfectly combines the two elements into a great dessert tea.

  • Cupid’s Cup

    

Delicious! Tart and sweet, with a soft aftertaste of vanilla. The color is beautiful as well, and the smell just makes me melt. It's the taste of love.

  • Hummingbird Cake Black Tea

    

Hummingbird cake is one of my favorite teahouse treats, and this tea delivered on that flavor I love. It's sweet, with a bit of a tang and a lovely but of nuttiness.

  • 2019 Xiaguan "Sweet Pu-erh" Ripe Pu-erh Tea Cake

    

Velvety smooth with a nice earthy coco aroma. The taste is dark and thick, but undeniably sweet. The taste is like that of damp leaves, like a fall leaf pile.

  • 2019 Yunnan Sourcing "Golden Pig" Raw Pu-erh Tea C

    

Very green tasting, like more like a green tea. There's a distinct grassy bite towards the back of the mouth. It lasts quite a few infusions, but i probably will let it age longer.

  • Rooibos Pecan Turtle

    

Caramelly goodness in a cup, the lack of caffeine makes it perfect for a midnight craving for sweets. As for the sweetness, its satisfying and not overwhelming

  • Pretty Girls

    

Tea is layered with smooth notes of cocoa and sweetness, a rich dark color to go with it. It's not too heavy, and invites you in for just one more steep.

  • CABARET

    

Never in my life have i had a tea that tastes so much like wine. I took a sip and wondered if i had poured the wrong drink into my mug. The faint bite on the back of the mouth, the coco and malty taste with the deep cherry, all absolutely delicious.

  • Planetary Shark Feed

    

Velvety smooth and a weird "toothpastey" flavor, but like the not minty toothpaste, and in a very good way. Kind of earthy, sweet, and berry tasting.

  • Smoove Cocoa

    

Remarkably accurate name. It's unbelievably smooth, not a single hint of bitterness. Then there's the lovely cocoa nib flavor grounded in an earthy base taste. Highly reccomend.

  • Sunny Side Up

    

Very full flavored and smooth, it's excedingly easy to drink without getting tiring. I like the lingering taste of possibly vanilla? I'm not sure exactly, but its good.

  • White Monkey

    

Very tasty tea. It's nice and smooth with a mellow sweetness and a balanced more deep flavor. I like it a lot, and the leaves are downright beautiful. It's a good, classic example of a green tea.

  • Over the Rainbow

    

Obscenely smooth, with a really full taste. There's a "lakey" kind of flavor in the aftertaste, like a mouthful of pond water but good? It's a odd taste like lake water, but I enjoy it.

  • WHITE PEACH MATCHA

    

Pretty meh. I've had much better matcha, and I think this is not even close to other peach matchas I've tried. Still, it gets points for being very convenient and easy to brew in a mug instead of whisking.

  • Plum Beauty

    

I'm a fan of the lingering floral taste, gentler than Monseiur Lafleur. There's an oolongy mouthfeel that surprised me, but it's not unwelcome. If you want something full but not heavy, floral but not perfumy, this is a good place to start.

  • Cream

    

Like cookies and cream without the cookie, there's a refreshing sweetness to this tea. It's best with just a touch of rock sugar, and pairs well in blends with fruity teas. Strawberry goes especially well.

  • Year of the Bull

    

Nothing unique here. Just extremely generic "tea" flavor. Honestly, I think that's this tea's biggest crime: its sheer unremarkability. I would have rated it higher if i could remember what it was like at least 3 minutes after a cup, but no. It's just... there.

  • Golden Spring

    

Deep, smooth, and flavorful, theres a "stale chocolate" flavor to it, but in a good way. Like a protein brownie. It's warm and wonderful, and invites you to keep sipping until you're left wondering where all your tea went.

  • Drink Me

    

Like the name suggests, this tea is very inviting. It's shockingly light, and benefits from a gentler heat during brewing, but is delicious. It's a bit sweet with some bitter earliness in the aftertaste, but keeps you coming back for more. I've had 9 cups so far!

  • Slow Burn

    

Very lackluster. I can't find a definitive note, but I kept steeping. Even after the 4th, nothing more than hot leaf juice. I'm really dissapointed, and feels like I'm missing something.

  • Full Frontal

    

Nothing spectacular, but nice. The taste is light with a bit of tartness. I like the flavor, but there's not really much depth, hence only 4 stars. I will say it's very welcoming though.

  • Monsieur Lafleur

    

Easily one of the strangest teas I have ever drank. It tastes like an oolong, with orchid overpowering and a buttry mouthfeel. I had to check the leaves to make sure this floral beast wasn't an oolong in disguise. It's a punch of orchid, with a very "I bit into a flower" aftertaste. This is worth trying for the strangeness of it all, and worth trying again for the intoxicating oddity.

  • Oh Deer!

    

There's a refined bitterness to this tea that bites you towards the end. But for a pu erh, it's shockingly light. It's not too thick, and holds up to an astounding 11 (gong fu style) steeps before it lost its flavor.

  • BLACK METALLIC

    

Like a summery wine, there's a rich floral taste with no trace of perfumey flavor, and a deep "grapey" body. I highly recommend it for fans of unorthodox teas.

  • FLOWER OF MY SECRET

    

This tastes like chocolate filled with pot pourie or however it's spelled. The floral taste of rose is tamed with the sweet spice of the clove, and it blends very well.

  • White Pearls

    

The size is great for making a pot of tea without the need to measure, and the taste is phenomenal. Back of the mouth sweetness, baked bread notes, but great.

  • SLEIGH RIDE

    

Tastes kind of like apple cider. It defiently reminds me of the holidays. It's not worth the price by a long shot, but it's pretty tasty.

  • Strawberry Splash

    

The strawberry taste is faint, but gives a very present aftertaste. Initially, it's there to give a gentle softness to the overall tea.

  • Endearment Blend Oolong Tea (Maple Earl Grey)

    

Earl grey and maple oolong come together beautifully for a pancakey tea. It's the perfect combo of simple, fun breakfast with a sort of mature flavor form the earl grey.

  • Key Lime Herbal

    

So if you've ever had a key lime pie kit kat, this tea tastes like one of those, but as a drink. I'm very much a fan of it.

  • Decaf Tropics

    

The flat flavor of decaf tea really tanks this one for me. Aside from that, the tropical flavors really shine, though if caffiene isnt an issue, the pu erh tahiti is a much better version of a tropical island tea.

  • Enchanted Woods Chai

    

Very interesting. So the smell was very strong, nice and christmasy. Then I took a sip. The taste isn't very strong (hence the 4 stars not 5) but man, it tasted like a wreath. I liked it a lot.

  • Citron Green

    

Tastes like a green tea version of a sprite soda. I gotta say, I'm a fan. It's very light and refreshing, perfect for a lazy day at the pool.

  • 2002 Aged Wild Liu Bao Tea "803" from Guangxi

    

A very dirt tasting tea. The color of dark syrup, The dominant taste is dirt, but with almost a touch of fruit? There's a very "barn dust" aftertaste that works really well.

  • Melodic Mango (organic)

    

Odd is the first word that comes to mind. The tea is incredibly soft and creamy, but the mango only comes through as an aftertaste. Like its good, but so, so weird.

  • Fruit Festival

    

There's an odd toasty flavor, but I'm not complaining. The fruit is a bit generic tasting, with no real defined elements, but it is a decent "fruit" tea.

  • Mango Green

    

This had the distinctive flavor and texture of mango mochi. There was a sort of rice flour vibe somewhere in it, but dang is it tasty.

  • Summer Rose

    

I was worried by the overwhelming fragrance, but then I added a bit of honey, and was rewarded with a soft, floral cup. The rose was far from overpowering, but instead the perfect balance.

  • Dewy Cherry

    

Cherry tartness without the usual cough syrup taste I find with lots of cherry flavored things. It's reminiscent of just popping sour cherries on a summer day.

  • Decaf Black Toasted Marshmallow Blend Tea

    

It's a good tea, but its more just sweet tea than any marshmallow flavoring. Maybe adding some actual marshmallows might have helped. Other than that, it's alright, just disappointing.

  • Mangoes & Cream

    

So it's interesting. The tea has a weird oily sheen on the top of it, but the taste is pretty nice. It's a little more tart than I expected, but very mangoy and tasty.

  • White Fuzzy Navel

    

Sweet, a little tangy, and packed with fruit flavor. This tea is incredible iced, and a lovely treat for a summer afternoon.

  • Pina Colada

    

Delicious! It's a tropical vacation in a cup, even if brewed hot. Coconut and pineapple dance together, bright and fruity.

  • Coconut

    

I prefer the coconut oolong because it's smoother, but this is still very good. The coconut shines through, rich and creamy.

  • Queen’s Blend Green Tea (Lemon Crème Earl Grey)

    

A very light tea, like a more bergamoty version of Adagio's Lemon Meringue green. A light earl grey is a refreshing surprise, perfect for an easy morning.

  • Merry Berry Meringue

    

Light and sweet, the berries take a back seat to mellow cream tastes. It's like a macaron, but much less sugary. Either way, good for a late night sweets craving.

  • Aloha Blend Black Tea (Pineapple Earl Grey)

    

Pineapple and earl grey go great together, the sweet and citrus pairing perfectly. The fruitiness shines well with a little honey, without being too overpowering.

  • 2020 Yunnan Sourcing "Yong De Blue Label" Ripe Pu-

    

The first brew was almost black it was so dark. However, the flavor itself is deep and rich, like earth and coffee grinds, with a bit of a plant material finish.

  • Formosa Bai Hao

    

Smooth, toasty, and absolutely delicious. There's a slight spice warmth in it too, and it held up for 3 good steeps. I could absolutely drink this every day.

  • Chocolate Chip

    

For a real treat, add milk and sugar to this one. It's very similar to chocolate cookies, sweet, warm, and nostalgic. I'm a big fan.

  • Darjeeling Puttabong Summer

    

A lovely tea. There's a hint of coco, with a mild sweetness in it, just the way I like it. It's easy to miss the entire cup, because it's gone before you know it.

  • Victorian Garden Grey Black Tea (Earl Grey / Berri

    

Super mellow and relaxing, like sitting in the queen's garden and having an afternoon tea with berry snacks.

  • Gratitude Blend (Strawberry Earl Grey)

    

Great earl grey, but gets a point off for the weaker strawberry flavor. The strawberry is a gentle whisper that flickers by, opposed to a supporting actor.

  • Coconut Macaron Dessert Tea

    

So coconutty and tasty! The namesake reflects beautifully here, like a cup of a sweet dessert. The delicious tea is such a great way to start the day or afternoon. Pairs great with coconut macarons!

  • gingerbread blondie

    

A scarily accurate name, this sweet tea really does taste like ginger and blondies. Tasty as hell, but totally not worth the price, hence the 4.5.

  • strawberries & cream

    

I'm a little disappointed, but it's still nice enough tea. The strawberry taste is pretty ice creamy, and the oolong base is nice and smooth. However, I wish it was a little stronger.

  • Decaf Vanilla

    

Not so good. It's really flat, and the vanilla taste is weak. Then again, most decaf teas are. Still, it's not the best tea. Drinkable, but I wouldn't want it again.

  • Sugar Apple Fairy

    

Not as sweet as I was expecting, but the taste was very nice, like a baked apple with just a little caramel poured over it.

  • White Grapefruit

    

Pretty good, and by that I mean drinkable. I detest grapefruit, but with the lighter flavors of the white tea and orange, it was good with only a vile aftertaste.

  • Highlands Breakfast Black Tea (English Breakfast w

    

Very relaxing, yet still nice and bold. The orange goes wonderfully in the bold, yet smooth mix of black teas.

  • Night of the Iguana Chocolate Chai

    

Ok so there's a weird flavor in the back of this, an intriguing taste like licking a peach pit. The rest is a good chocolate chai, but that intriguing flavor is what takes it the next step.

  • Honeybush Wild Berry

    

Sweet, tasty, and incredibly fruity. The honeybush made a perfect base due to its smooth and mellow flavor, letting the fruit taste shine through.

  • Royale Assam Black Tea

    

A smooth, bold tea. The flowers don't really add anything besides aesthetics, and the tea itself has that very classic "tea" taste.

  • Forever Spring Medium Roast

    

Toasty and comforting flavor, with a sort of floral taste to it. It's not too intense, but there's also some charcoaly notes.

  • Raspberry Flavored Black Corse Cut Tea

    

Pretty solid flavor. The taste isn't as jammy as I usually like from a raspberry, but for its price point, it's a good value. It has a slightly tart, fruity taste.

  • Calypso Green

    

Fruity, coconutty, smooth and relaxing. It's a portal to the beach, and best paired with a good book and a sunny day to lounge around on.

  • Pecan Pie Rooibos Tea

    

Smooth and sweet, this tea is accurate to its namesake. The flavor is lightly nutty, comforting, and pie-like. Pretty delicious.

  • Caffeine Free Mercedes Apple Spice Herbal Tea

    

Pretty alright. I wished the spices were a little stronger, but the flavor was not bad. It's like a pie, but weaker and with kind of an odd aftertaste.

  • Orange

    

This has an odd nostalgia for me. The tangy taste of orange reminds me of the time I mixed Sunny D and tea to make an orange Arnold palmer.

  • Citrus Mint Green

    

Green and mint were meant to be. Mint and lemonade are a childhood classic. How could this not be delicious? You'd have to try to mess this zesty tea up.

  • Decaf Mango

    

Bland and flat. The mango flavor was present, but there was no depth to it at all. It's just weak mango juice in unremarkable leaf juice. Not bad per say, just really meh.

  • Coconut Grove Pouchong

    

This tea is reminiscent of a coconut macaroon or cake. It's sweet, delicious, and has the mouthfeel of coconut desserts, without all the crumbs.

  • Guizhou Twist

    

A soft, tasty green tea. There's some floralness that really comes out in the second steep especially, and a little sweetness all the way through.

  • Organic Volcano Oolong

    

THeres a sort of limey note hidden under the warmth and toastiness of this tea. It's interesting, with a changing feel with each sip.

  • Vanilla Rose Dark Tea (Pu'erh) Hearts

    

Just like their name, these are sweet hearts. The dark smoothness of the pu erh goes well with the vanilla and rose for a romantic, delicious cup.

  • Peach on the Beach

    

Peachy, mangoy goodness. It tastes like pure summer in a cup, especially cold. When it comes to fruity teas, this one stands up at the top.

  • Berry Blues

    

Sweet and tart, absolutely bursting with blueberry goodness. The taste is lovely and refreshing, and great however you like your tea (except with milk).

  • Decaf Raspberry

    

Not bad, not good, just pretty flat and one note. If you're looking for a good caffeine free raspberry tea, go for the raspberry patch instead. It's so much better.

  • Elderberry Fortress

    

I'd give it 5 stars, if it wasn't for one fatal flaw. This tea does worse things to your stomach than $20 worth of expired taco bell. But tastes amazing.

  • Grapefruit

    

Tastes like a rotting orange, or the experience of getting citrus juice in an open cut. Not a fan at all.

  • Spring Romance Black Tea (Lilac)

    

Ok this is weird. Why does it taste like floral bread or slightly off apples? I don't hate it, but its so dang weird. Something compels me to keep drinking more. I want to know its secrets, but the taste isn't my favorite.

  • PARIS

    

I can see why people really like this tea. The currant shows most of all the flavors. I was hoping for more of the citrusy notes, but I love currant, so I'm not complaining.

  • Green Chai

    

With a green tea base, the spices are mellowed from the lower temperature and shorter steep. So it's a really good tea for when you don't have the time or energy for a full milk and sugar chai.

  • Wedding Tea

    

This really does have all the feeling of a wedding. The sweet floral of the bouquets, the lovely vanilla of the cake, and just the overall vibe of love emanating from this tea. If I ever get married, this is the tea I'll drink while getting ready.

  • Heritage Blend Black Tea (Maple Scottish Breakfast

    

Smells like warm pancakes, and has a mapley flavor, more like the wood than the syrup if that makes sense. Like maple leaves steeped in my tea. Super good.

  • Brunch in Paris Black Tea Blend (chocolate/orange)

    

If you've ever had an range tootsie pop, then you know what this tea tastes like. Chocolatey and orangy, with not too much sweetness.

  • Decaf Strawberry

    

I don't like decaf tea, but this was a massive exception! It was just as good as the full caffeine version, with sweet, lovely strawberry taste.

  • Ya Shi Xiang Oolong

    

Warm and toasty, there's a light smokiness to it. It lingers long after drinking, with sort of a limey note at points. Overall, really tasty.

  • Blueberry Fields

    

Blueberry and green go so great together. The taste is bold and refreshing, lighter than the blueberry black tea without sacrificing flavor.

  • ROY G. BIV

    

The color of this is beyond beautiful, with a great taste of fruit punch. But heads up, it's way better iced than hot.

  • Black Chocolate

    

It's chocolate tea, what more is there to say? I like it fine on it's own, but it definitely goes best with some milk and sugar to bring out the full flavor.

  • Baked Apple Rooibos Tea

    

Name is very much accurate. There's a warm, comforting taste to it, like homemade applesauce or apple cake.

  • Earl Grey Lavender

    

Soft, mellow earl grey meets lavender for a wonderful cup of afternoon tea. There's no harshness to it at all, and it's a great guide to the world of earl grey.

  • Alpen Mulled Wine Flavored Black Tea

    

Pretty accurate name. Very winey in flavor, and a light touch of mulling spices. Not very strong on the spice, but overall a good cup of tea.

  • 'Red Velvet' Chocolate Puerh Dessert Tea

    

Red velvet is right! Just like a decadent cake, this tea is rich, delicious and full of flavor. It's one of the best teas that tried to mimic a dessert.

  • Ginger

    

Ginger! The flavor really punches through, but doesn't overpower the main tea. It's good, and not just a hot ginger ale like I was expecting.

  • Strawberries & Cream Black Tea (with Rose)

    

A refreshingly sweet, delicately delicious blend. It's exactly like it says on the tin, like a strawberry shortcake in a cup.

  • Housewarming Blend Black Tea (Vanilla Creme Brule)

    

Very sweet and warm, with just a delicious helping of like, a vanilla cake flavor. Housewarming is a good name for this cozy as heck tea.

  • Raspberry Green
