ooooh darjeeling
by adagio teas
(16 reviews)Ooooh Darjeeling is a rare oolong tea from Darjeeling, India, where it is fairly uncommon to produce anything other than black tea. However, the growers of Singbulli Estate have produced this exquisite exception. Complex muscat grape and apricot pit aroma (also a characteristic of fine Darjeeling black teas, interestingly), tangy dried fruit flavor and deep floral notes that linger like any great oolong should are reminiscent of Oriental Beauty oolong. This Darjeeling oolong is a must-try for anyone seeking to learn more about tea on a deeper level: this is an exercise in the taste of 'terroir', the place where the tea is grown. Steep at 212°F for 3-4 minutes

I'm usually not someone to really enjoy unflavored teas, but this oolong is just so good. I had it with a splash of oat milk and it could take it well. This tea is so flavorful yet very smooth. Big big recommendation!!

I was disappointed. It had that “green “ oolong taste as a prefer the darker oolongs. Not for me.

I found this tea rather mild in flavor. It also wasn't very astringent. Astringency is one of the reasons I'm not a big fan of oolong teas. I noticed a little bit of the fruit flavor they mentioned, but it was not particularly bold. Overall, I didn't find this tea any more special than any other oolong.

A mild and smooth oolong, with no bitterness. This was slightly malty, and I did taste hints of dried fruit (kind of raisin-like) which gave it a bit of natural sweetness.

A lovely tea. The aroma is pure honey and it has a light fruity taste, very smooth mouth feel with good body and a light astringency to finish. Very nice!

Soft, sweet, and distinctively Darjeeling. The taste is relaxing an elegant, a kind of fancy tea party tea.

This darjeeling is effortlessly low astringency with the softest, smoothest hint of maltiness and a faint whisp of something fruity. Darjeeling isn't my favorite but I'd be remiss if I didn't rate this iteration according to its quality rather than by my own enjoyment. My palate is fickle but this tea is a great example of darjeeling.
