matcha peach
by adagio teas
(14 reviews)Matcha, the focal point of the Japanese Tea Ceremony, is a fine powder made by grinding green tea leaves. Only the finest, young, shade-grown gyokuro tea leaves are used to create matcha. The leaves are plucked and laid out flat to dry. Veins are removed and the leaves, now called tencha, are carefully ground in granite mills until they become the precious powder. Easy preparation is achieved by placing 1 teaspoon of matcha per cup (or to taste) in a cup, adding a few drops of hot water (160-180F) and stirring with a spoon until a paste forms. Add the rest of the water and stir.
This is a Samidori cultivar from Uji, Kyoto, flavored with natural peaches. It is a high-grade Spring (first harvest) tea. The 2oz tin will make about 24 8oz servings. Steep at 170°F for 2 minutes

I had this one cold, from one of the matcha sticks Adagio offers. Impressively, both the peach and Matcha flavors are present and noticeable. It leaves a pleasant aftertaste. I didn't expect it to be so nice, actually.

This is the strongest of the flavors of matcha I've tried. The peach comes out in the aroma and a couple drops of stevia brings the flavor forward more. I really enjoy it cold in this hot weather. I'm a green tea and matcha fan.

This has a nice peach scent, but when sipping, the taste of peaches is mild, but it's good. The matcha powder is very fine and whisks well without leaving any clumps. And it's mildly bitter on the first sip.

Lovely aroma when I opened the container. The peach flavor is very nice -- smells wonderful and the taste was light not over powering. But I'm learning that matcha just isn't my thing. Not something I would buy for myself.

One of the better flavored matchas on offer. The peach flavor's nice, and works much better with the matcha base than some other flavorings.

Very nice peach smell when opened. I've had it both hot and cold and both were excellent.

I am a huge match fan, and loved this! Wonderful peach flavor, blended well with little clumping

Similar to the blueberry and raspberry matchas, this smells like peach but doesn't really taste like peach to me. It's not bad - it's still enjoyable, but I will probably just order plain matcha from now on since the flavors are not really coming through for me. It just tastes like regular matcha to me.

Great matcha with subtle peach flavor. I'm glad that the added flavor is not too overwhelming

Though the peach flavor is subtle, I like this matcha quite a bit. It’s excellent in my fruit smoothies to give me that extra energy boost to start my day!
