Lauren S.

Hi, I'm Lauren. I'm a nerdy goth girl who's really into tea.

User's reviews

  • Yorkshire Gold

    

Very flavorful, but also very strong. I like strong tea and I can't steep this for more than three minutes. It's really lovely with a bit of sugar though.

  • Green Tea with Lemon

    

Very lemony, and makes a lovely pitcher of iced tea. I'll usually cold-brew it and sometimes even add a slice of lemon or two if I want even more lemon flavor.

  • Green Tea with Jasmine

    

Supermarket jasmine greens are never really better than mediocre and this is no exception. It's a basic green tea with a faint whiff of jasmine to it. Nothing special.

  • Moroccan Mint

    

Very smooth and pleasant, not 'toothpaste' minty. It's nice hot, but it also makes an excellent pitcher of iced tea. Usually have a tin of it laying around, because it's just a nice tea to have.

  • Assam

    

Strong and just a little bit on the smoky side, it takes milk and sugar really well. Just make sure you don't steep it for too long or else it gets really astringent.

  • Yorkshire Red

    

This is a strong black tea, so you probably won't care for it if you like something more delicate. It's nothing special, but if you want a basic black tea in the morning you could do a lot worse than this.

  • Green Jasmine

    

Pretty standard supermarket jasmine green. Bare hints of jasmine, tea that tastes like a bag of lawn clippings. I really wouldn't recommend it.

  • Cold Infuse Blueberry & Apple

    

Just drink water. Water's great, I assure you. This has a terrible flavor to it that's barely blueberry at all. Twinings isn't the best at flavored teas to begin with, and this sadly, is one of the worst.

  • Holiday Berry

    

It makes a decent berry iced tea. Cold-brewing it tames the obnoxious hibiscus enough for the fruit flavors to shine through. Good with a bit of sweetener and lemon.

  • Black Tea Variety Pack

    

A decent array of black teas if you want to sample what Twinings has to offer. Or if you just want a few of each tea on-hand to drink each day.

  • Lemon & Ginger

    

It's heavy on the ginger, but that's fine by me because I love ginger. I don't really drink it on a regular basis, but it's the first thing I reach for when my throat's bothering me.

  • Buttermint

    

With sugar it's *vaguely* reminiscent of a buttermint, but for the most part the peppermint overpowers the vanilla. If you like peppermint with a slight creamy aftertaste it might be for you, but otherwise it's not that great.

  • Gingerbread Indulgence Green Tea

    

Ordered some of this off Amazon, and it wasn't worth the price. It doesn't taste much of gingerbread at all, and what is there doesn't go all that well with a green base.

  • Almond Cardamom Cake

    

I wish this was on a black base. not rooibos. The almond and cardamom flavors are wonderful, but there's that pencil shaving-like rooibos creeping up on me as soon as it starts to cool.

  • ROOT BEER ROOIBOS

    

As far as rooibos goes it's not terrible. The flavor is strong enough to disguise that woodiness that I can't stand about the stuff. With sugar added it reminds me a bit of root beer barrel candy.

  • Blooming Rose Black Tea

    

Normally I like rose teas, but there's something about the combination of rose and cardamom that doesn't do it for me. It really does give it a 'soap' flavor that couldn't get used to.

  • Chili Lime Green

    

I love spicy things, so I don't mind the chili pepper one bit. I can see where other people might be put off by it though. Lime comes in second, and the coconut is more of a background flavor, rounding everything out a bit.

  • Lemongrass Ginger

    

IMO lemon and peppermint don't go well together. The taste reminds me of the way some of the gels and pastes you use when you're sick smell, like Vick's for example.

  • Rooibos Earl Grey

    

I'm beginning to realize nothing can make me like rooibos. The bergamot's nice enough, but that woody, pencil-shavings rooibos base is just off-putting to me.

  • Fruit Medley

    

As always, I am not a fan of hibiscus, but drinking this iced tames it somewhat. Strawberry is the most noticeable flavor, helped along by a sweetener like sugar or honey.

  • Roastaroma

    

Surprisingly nice. It's kind of a roasty or toasty herbal chai. I don't often drink herbal teas because I'm not a big fan of hibiscus, but this is one of my favorite nighttime teas.

  • Berry Blast

    

It's okay. That's really the best way to describe it: 'okay'. It has a strong, tart berry flavor that's tamed a bit by cold-brewing or icing it, but it can be a bit overwhelming and isn't really a favorite.

  • Berry Bouquet

    

I wish tea companies would learn that hibiscus makes a terrible base. It's way too tart and overwhelms every other flavor. There's a faint whiff of berry, but that's about it.

  • RED RASPBERRY TEA BAG

    

Same rule I follow with most herbals containing hibiscus: I take it cold to cut down on the tartness. It's not the best raspberry tea out there, but it'll do in a pinch and it gets better if you add some honey, lemon, or throw in a handful of fresh raspberries.

  • WILD BLUEBERRY WITH ACAI

    

When taken hot, it's way too tart because of the hibiscus. It's better taken iced, which tones down the tartness a bit and allows you to taste something other than overwhelming tartness.

  • Antioxidant Green

    

Really not all that great. Like other people have said it's really weak. It goes from just bland with one bag to unpleasant with two, and *still* weak either way.

  • Jammin' Lemon Ginger

    

I'll drink it if I have a sore throat, but it's not really something I want otherwise. Like someone else said, it kind of comes off as medicinal. Honey helps that (and my throat), but it's still not a favorite.

  • Black Cherry Berry

    

I don't drink it myself, but I keep it on-hand for other family members. They love it as iced tea. Apparently it doesn't even need any added sugar or honey; it's sweet enough on its own.

  • CHAMOMILE LAVENDER

    

Not a big fan of chamomile by itself, but I do like lavender. The two together make a relaxing cup when I'm having a hard time getting to sleep.

  • Yunnan Noir Iced Tea

    

Kinda sad that they discontinued this. Sure, I can still make it with Yunnan Noir, but the pouches were incredibly convenient to have on hand.

  • Green Earl Grey

    

Green Earls don't really hit right for me. I feel like they really need a black tea base to work right, but it's not like this is undrinkable. I just prefer to take it cold, since that lightens the bergamot a bit.

  • Minty Comfort

    

I think it's the eucalyptus, but something about this reminds me of Vick's. Normally I like minty things, but I wasn't too crazy about this one, because I don't really want to drink Vaporub.

  • IMPERIAL BLEND

    

Bergamot = Earl Grey to me, so I just see this tea as a very nice, light Earl. I like to take it iced, and given the size of the package it comes in, I usually have enough to last all summer.

  • STRAWBERRY VELVET CAKE

    

Too expensive for the number of teabags you get, and I didn't really taste vanilla so much as I did strawberry. I can *smell* vanilla, but that's about it.

  • Ceylon Tea

    

Like their other plain black teas, I like building on this. It makes a wonderful base for making your own chai blends. Also works nicely with rose and lavender.

  • Barooti Assam

    

I use this as a base for vanilla tea. Whether I use actual vanilla beans or add extract to it, it's robust enough to stand up to and enhance the vanilla flavor. Also it's inexpensive, so I can make plenty of it to keep on-hand.

  • VANILLA TRANQUILITY

    

It's gotten pretty hard to find lately, but I like it. Strong, sweet vanilla flavor, maybe just a *little* bit artificial, but not bad. You could definitely do worse as far as vanilla teas go.

  • KALAMI ASSAM

    

It's a decent black tea for the price. I use it a a base for blending teas, adding vanilla beans, vanilla extract or rosebuds and chocolate to it.

  • Masala Chai

    

It' a pretty standard chai, if a little bit clove-heavy. I usually use it to make chai blends rather than just drinking it by itself.

  • Osmanthus Black Tea

    

I've never tried osmanthus before, but I got curious. It reminds me of peach or apricot, but with a more floral aftertaste. Very pleasant.

  • Jasmine Dragon Ball Black Tea

    

Black tea with jasmine is hard to find, let alone in the form of a huge pearl. This is a pricey tea since there are so few to a pouch, but each ball makes at least four cups of lovely jasmine-scented black tea.

  • Milk Oolong

    

Light and creamy, good as an afternoon tea. Probably going to try mixing it with Earl Grey Supreme to recreate the recently-discontinued Mad Hatter tea.

  • DECAF WILD BERRY PLUM GREEN TEA BAGS

    

TRoT teas have a tendency to be a little light on flavor, this one included. The berry flavors are nice, but you need to use two bags or else it comes off weak and watered-down.

  • COCONUT COCOA CUPPA CHOCOLATE TEA BAGS

    

I always keep some on hand for when I want a cup of tea in the evening. Coconut and chocolate's always a good combination, and it's so nice with a bit of whipped cream.

  • Cardamom Creme Brulee

    

Basically just the Vanilla Caramel tea with a slight spicy hint to it. It's good, but not different enough that I'd really seek it out again.

  • Celtic Cream

    

It smells lovely, but cream flavors on a green base just hit wrong. It really needs a black or white base to do it any justice, and to not taste like you put whipped cream on grass.

  • Salty Caramel Pumpkin

    

It's....weirdly savory. That's really the only way I can describe it. I'm not really getting salted caramel at all, but just a squashy pumpkin note and no real sweetness to speak of.

  • Creamy Earl Grey

    

Reminds me of a creamy citrusy dessert. I went through the small pouch I ordered in record time, since it was just so nice to drink.

  • HONEYBUSH

    

I like it more than I do rooibos, but unflavored honeybush still has some of that woody, medicinal quality to it that puts me off of rooibos. Not something I think I'd ever want again.

  • Bohemian Raspberry

    

Fruity flavors go well with green teas. This has a strong, sweet raspberry flavor that would work really well as an iced tea. Not really grassy unless you oversteep it.

  • Witch's Broom

    

I guess I'm not one for unflavored pu-erh, because this tasted like a broom to me. A dirty one. Really not something I would ever want to try again.

  • Chocolate Caramel

    

Not really one of S&V's better dessert blends. I really don't get much in the way of caramel; just an artificial, Tootsie Roll-like chocolate flavor. No reason to get this when there's better blends on offer.

  • Almond Sugar Cookie Dessert Tea

    

I love this tea. It's the closest thing there is to American Tea Room's Brioche tea. It doesn't have the marzipan flavor a lot of almond teas do, but really does manage to taste like a baked good.

  • Chocolate Mint

    

I actually didn't like this all too much hot, but cold? That's a different story. Taken cold it's the perfect balance of chocolate and mint, and makes for a really nice cup of iced tea.

  • CREME BRULEE

    

Very strong and sweet, and with whipped cream it's definitely dessertlike. Also reminds me a lot of S&V's creme brulee tea. Might be sourced from the same place, I don't know.

  • DARK ROSE

    

Would have liked a bit more rose flavor, but it was still good. Just enough to soften the earthy pu-erh, since otherwise I have a hard time drinking it. Maybe I'll add some of my own rosebuds next time.

  • WILD BLACKBERRY

    

Not really my favorite of the bunch. Blackberry's one of my favorite flavors, and this didn't remind me of blackberry so much as just a generic "berry" taste.

  • ALMOND PEAR CHAI

    

I was afraid the spices would overwhelm the pear and the tea, but happily they didn't. It's very light, spicy and fruity. As long as you don't oversteep you should be fine.

  • Maple Roasted Almond

    

Warm and nutty, really nice in the fall. To boost the maple flavor, I like taking this with a little bit of maple syrup added to it.

  • HAZELNUT VANILLA

    

It's not bad, but it doesn't really remind me of hazelnut at all. Might be the almond oil, but it's more like an almond and vanilla tea. Not terrible, but not what I was looking for.

  • Black Forest Cake

    

The first time I tried this I didn't care for it all that much, but it's grown on me. The chocolate and cherry flavors are nicely balanced, and a bit of whipped cream takes it to the next level.

  • Black Cherry

    

It's hard to find a cherry tea that doesn't taste like cough syrup. This has a nice, natural cherry flavor. I like licorice, so the licorice flavor is not an issue for me.

  • Ginger Snap

    

There's too many things going on here. The ginger, the mint, the fruit...they're all competing with each other, and rather than a cohesive blend it's a chaotic muddle of flavors.

  • English Breakfast Tea

    

A standard English Breakfast tea. Nothing really much to say about it other than the fact that since it's Tea Forte, you know it's going to be on the pricey side.

  • Bleu Ginger

    

Bought primarily for the color. The dry mix has a weird, not all that pleasant 'feet' smell similar to Adagio's Bella Luna Blue, and I don't know if it's the butterfly pea of the lemongrass that smells like that.

Flavorwise, it's mainly lemongrass with a hint of ginger and fruit. Okay, but not something I'd want more of.

  • Raspberry Ganache

    

Normally I don't like hibiscus, but the little tart pop of it really helps sell the raspberry flavor. The chocolate flavor is more like cocoa, and is more noticeable in the scent than the taste.

  • Vanilla Peach

    

Typical of peach teas, it's more peachy than anything. There's a vanilla sweetness in the background, but the fruit takes center stage.

  • Mardi Gras Blend

    

This is kind of like a 'deluxe' version of their pecan tea. The cinnamon and vanilla add a little extra something that makes it the tastier and more desserty optionof the two.

  • VANILLA ALMOND BLACK FULL-LEAF

    

Stronger than the bagged version, with a very pronounced vanilla flavor. Both re good, but I prefer the loose tea to the bagged version.

  • Pumpkin Potion

    

Normally I don't like red rooibos at all, but there's enough going on here with the spices and almond flavor that I don't notice it.

  • Orient Mystery

    

Black/green blend, but unlike the other Akbar tea I bought, this one's more black than green so I treated it as black tea. Slightly below-boiling water is best, and sticking to a three-minute steep.

The floral flavor is subtle, but there, becoming more pronounced as it cools. It's a very pretty tea too, with a lot of whole jasmine buds and a sprinkling of rose petals throughout.

  • Rich Soursop

    

Bought on a whim, mainly because I liked the cute little treasure box tin and I was curious as to what a soursop tea would taste like.

It's a green/black blend, so I treated it like green tea. Treating it like black got me a bitter, grassy cup that wasn't enjoyable. Steeping it at a lower temperature got me a nice, fruit-forward cup of tea that's pretty enjoyable.

  • Grapefruit

    

Citrusy black tea, a nice departure from my usual heavy berry and chocolate teas. Just make sure not to oversteep, or it will get unpleasantly bitter.

  • Berry Blast Iced Tea

    

A nice, fruity tea, but best cold-brewed in order to keep the hibiscus and rosehip tartness to a minimum. If brewed warm, it can be unpleasantly tart.

  • Bat Brew

    

Adagio's chocolate chai isn't my favorite, so the addition of sprinkles certainly wasn't going to make it any better. The tin is cute though.

  • Decaf Vanilla

    

One of my favorite evening teas, either taken on its own or blended with another decaf tea, like the decaf blueberry. The vanilla flavor is slightly fake-tasting, but still good.

  • Decaf Blueberry

    

Nice to have around for the evening, because after a certain hour if I drink caffeinated tea I'm not going to sleep. Just as good as the caffeinated version.

  • MINT MEDLEY

    

I really don't like the combination of hibiscus and mint. Tart and cool is really jarring and unpleasant to drink.

  • Raspberry Green

    

This is at its best when iced. Taking it cold cuts down on the grassiness of the green base. Even better if you throw some actual raspberries in the pitcher.

  • Irish Breakfast

    

It's a solid black tea, but given the choice between this and the English or Scottish Breakfasts, I'd choose either of those two over this.

  • Grapefruit Oolong

    

Might be because of the stronger base, but I found this to be less bitter than the grapefruit white. It's a pleasant citrus tea either cold or hot, but I prefer it cold.

  • Thai Tea

    

It really doesn't remind me that much of Thai tea, but I still enjoy it as a coconut-vanilla tea. Not terrible, and I buy it semi-regularly.

  • Currant

    

Light, pleasant blackcurrant flavor. While it's not one of the first flavors I would go for, I wouldn't turn it down either if offered.

  • Honeybush Orange

    

Orange isn't really a flavor I go for, but it's nice enough if you like it. Probably would work well with the vanilla or chocolate honeybush.

  • Earl Grey Green

    

I don't think I really like Earl Grey on a green base as much as I do black. The grassiness of green tea just doesn't seem to work with bergamot for me.

  • Earl of Grey

    

I like this a lot. Creme Earls cut down on the abrasiveness that bergamot can have. This is sweet, creamy, and slightly fruity.

  • Organic Coconut Assam Tea Bags

    

It would really be better if there was no apple and cinnamon, and purely coconut. It's still alright as it is, but not a good as it could be.

  • 111th Birthday!

    

Normally I like chocolate teas, but this one was just okay for me. It's probably because I don't really care for Adagio's chocolate chai all that much. Or chocolate chai in general, now that I think about it. I've yet to have a really good one.

  • Conga

    

Not the biggest mango fan in the world, though some of my family members like it. I would take it if offered, but I really wouldn't seek it out myself.

  • White Grapefruit

    

This is really best cold-brewed. I don't think it's because of the base tea but rather the grapefruit flavoring that makes it unpleasantly bitter otherwise. It also really need a sweetener of some kind.

  • Rosebuds & Petals

    

I love roses, and I can easily drink this as-is. They're also nice when added to another tea, preferably a plain black or white tea.

  • Forget-me-Not Black Tea

    

I've always liked this one. Blackberry and floral flavors are always a yes for me, and this tea has a nice balance of both.

  • Hazelnut

    

Basic hazelnut black tea, always nice to drink. It really doesn't seem any different than any other hazelnut-flavored tea I've had before though.

  • Edgar Allen Poe's Black Tea Blend

    

Purchased because I love Poe, and how could I turn down a raven-themed tin? While I wasn't sure I liked a smoky Earl Grey at first, it's definitely grown on me.

  • Gooseberry

    

Tart and hibiscus-forward, with some kind of fruity flavor that just registers as a generic 'berry'. Not really that good.

  • Baklava

    

Full disclosure: I've only had baklava once in my life. I can't say this tea really reminded me all that much of it, but it's still a tasty honey chai tea.

  • Reindeer Fuel

    

Can't go wrong with mint chocolate. The addition of ginger makes it unlike any other chocolate and peppermint tea I've ever had.

  • Almond Oolong

    

It's probably thanks to the oolong base, but I find this easier to take on its own than the almond black, which tends to get really bitter, really quickly.

  • Maple Creme Oolong

    

Very sweet. So sweet that it's a bit hard for me to take on it own, but it works wonderfully when mixed with other teas.

  • SWEET TEA GINGER PEACH BLACK TEA BAGS

    

This would be so much better without the addition of stevia. Seriously, if I want to sweeten my tea, I'll do it myself.

  • ORANGE SPICE GREEN TEA BAGS

    

I'm not big on spices on a green base, I feel like a stronger base tea is necessary. That said, the flavor's not terrible, it'd just be better on something other than a green tea.

  • ORGANIC DOUBLE DARK CHOCOLATE MATE

    

It might not be the best chocolate flavor I've had in a tea, but it's good enough to indulge my sweet tooth. I'd happily drink it if offered.

  • COMFORT AND JOY BLACK TEA BAGS

    

I know it's meant as a holiday tea, but I enjoy it enough to drink it year-round. Nicely balanced apple cinnamon flavor.

  • BLACKBERRY SAGE BLACK FULL-LEAF

    

I keep trying to like fruit and sage blends, but it's just not happening. It's not as aggressively sagey as some others, but it's still too much for me.

  • Downton Abbey Butler's Pantry Blend

    

Sadly this seems to be discontinued, which is a shame since I enjoyed it. It had a lovely creamy honey-vanilla flavor.

  • WILD BERRY PLUM GREEN TEA BAGS

    

The strong fruity flavor masks any green tea grassiness, which makes this great if you don't like that grassiness. Usually I like fruity greens iced, but this works well hot too.

  • Passionfruit Papaya

    

This is really best when taken iced, which is usually my opinion when it come to pineapple teas. It makes a nice iced tea, but I'm not sure I would go out of my way to get this again.

  • Peppermint Bark

    

Not much in the way of chocolate flavor, but I've come to expect that from mint chocolate teas, The mint almost always overpowers the chocolate. Still, it's a nice peppermint tea on its own.

  • Dreamberry

    

Normally I don't like rooibos, but the berry flavor and white chocolate creaminess masked it enough that I was able to enjoy thi.

  • English Breakfast

    

A lovely English Breakfast tea, and like other reviewers already said, one of the better ones I've had. It's always good when I want something plain and not a flavored tea in the morning.

  • Honeybush

    

It does have a light honey flavor, but it's not really something I'd want on its own. I usually liked the flavored honeybush teas more, since they're a bit more interesting.

  • Yunnan Jig

    

First time I tried this years ago it was so fruity I thought I'd accidentally ordered a flavored tea. While it's not quite that berrylike anymore, it's still a solid black tea that I really enjoy.

  • Coconut Grove Pouchong

    

If it's coconut, I'm pretty much bound to like it. This is no exception. Lighter than most of the teas I favor, but still really good, I certainly wouldn't pass it up if offered.

  • Berry Creme Compote

    

Really nice as an iced tea. The creme flavor smooths out the berries a bit and keeps the resulting tea from being too cough syrupy.

  • Decaf Green Tea

    

If you like to steep grass clippings, this tea is for you. And not even really strong grass clippings at that. Just don't bother.

  • EARL GREY GREEN TEA BAGS

    

I don't really like green Earls at the best of times, and this is far from the best of the bunch. It's really something I'd only drink if there were literally no other options available.

  • Pure Assam Estate

    

This one's actually pretty good. It's a basic black tea that'll do when you don't want anything more complex.

  • English Breakfast

    

Disappointing. It really doesn't taste like much at all, and if you add anything to it, those additions will be all you taste. There are better English Breakfast teas out there, and you'd be better served to find one of them.

  • Ceylon Estate Loose Leaf

    

Basic black tea, nothing special. It's okay if that's what's available, but not really something I'd ever seek out for myself.

  • HiCAF Caramel Black Tea Bags

    

This needs sweetener and cream to be at its best. Otherwise it tastes like burnt caramel, which isn't exactly nice. Can't drink too much of it though, because it really does have a lot of caffeine. I get the jitters.

  • Gingerbread Cuppa Cake Tea

    

You know what would make this a lot better? If there wasn't any stevia involved. The spices and vanilla are nice, but then the stevia comes in and it's just ew.

  • BLUEBERRY BUNDT CUPPA CAKE TEA BAGS

    

I can see why this one was discontinued. There was a *lot* of licorice in the mix, and it didn't play very well with the blueberry.

  • CARAMEL VANILLA CUPPA CAKE TEA BAGS

    

Yes, it is a bit light, but the flavor's really nice. Caramel's a flavor not a lot of brands do well, but TRoT does. I like taking it with sugar and a little whipped cream.

  • BROWN RICE TEA GENMAICHA

    

Warm and toasty. Really nice to have in the middle of the afternoon or the early evening.

  • Matcha Cinnamon Apple

    

Not my favorite. I'm all for apple cinnamon, but it doesn't work that well on a matcha base. There's a weird, grassy note that doesn't play nice with the flavoring.

  • Rooibos Vanilla Iced Tea

    

The vanilla flavor's nice enough. but I don't really care too much for rooibos. It's got a weird, woody undertone that I don't really want.

  • Blackberry

    

Blackberry's my favorite fruit, and this tea doesn't disappoint. It's got a nice, sweet blackberry flavor, and it's a staple in my tea collection.

  • Year of the Rabbit

    

It's a very light vanilla-lemon tea. Not really the kind of thing I'd way to buy again, but it was worth a try just once.

  • Pu-erh Pearls

    

Other members of my family enjoyed it, but unflavored pu erh is just a bit too weirdly fishy and earthy for me.

  • Peach Iced Tea

    

Peach is always a great flavor for iced tea. The only reason to buy the pouches is that it makes it easier to steep it.

  • MANGO MAGIC

    

Mango isn't my favorite fruit, but it's a decent bagged tea. Since my nephew only drinks iced tea, I usually make a pitcher of this for him.

  • Herbal Retreat

    

Not really my cup of tea, but I gave this as a gift to a friend who really loves herbal teas. According to her, all of them are lovely.

  • Sweet Orange Spice

    

It's like Constant Comment but with a better quality base tea. Good to have around in the autumn and winter months.

  • Kona Pineapple

    

This is at its best when taken cold. Hot pineapple just doesn't do it for me. That said, it's a really nice, summery iced tea.

  • Honeybush Vanilla

    

Just like the black vanilla tea I don't really drink this on its own. It's more of a blending tea for me, especially if you want to add vanilla flavor without extra caffeine.

  • Cancer

    

This tea taught me one thing: I'm not a fan of fruit and mint together. Chocolate and mint, yes. Fruit and mint? Not so much.

  • Taurus

    

It's a nice light peach tea. Pleasant enough to drink, but not something unique enough that I'd really want to buy it again. Once was enough.

  • Strawberry Banana Split

    

imo it's better taken iced than hot. Hot, the strawberry is the dominant flavor, but cold allows the creme and banana flavors to come out a bit more.

  • Raja Oolong Chai

    

Like a lot of chais, it's more cinnamon than anything. There's a slight hint of ginger, but that's it. It might as well just be a cinnamon oolong.

  • Spearmint

    

If you want a minty tea, this'll do just as fine. Not as strong as peppermint, and nice both hot or iced. Works well in chocolate blends too.

  • PEACH GREEN

    

A standard bagged peach green tea. Not really good, not really bad, just okay. You can use it as an iced tea if you doctor it up a bit with some fresh peach slices.

  • White Toasted Coconut

    

Lighter than I usually prefer in a tea, but still really good. You can't go wrong with coconut.

  • Night of the Iguana Chocolate Chai

    

It's a decent chocolate chai. Not too much of either chocolate or spice. Makes a nice drink in the colder months.

  • Merlot Domaine Chantelle Flavored Black Tea

    

I don't actually like wine, finding it medicinal and offputting, but I like a wine-flavored tea. Isn't that funny? It's probably due to it not actually being alcoholic.

  • Honeybush Wild Berry

    

I don't know if it's the honeybush base that's the problem, but it comes off as a bit more cough syrupy than the black berry teas. It's a bit better cold than warm.

  • Camelot Blend

    

Harney's flavored teas are hit-and-miss, and this is definitely a miss. No cinnamon. No almond. No honey. It smells and tastes like a basic black tea with maybe a little hint of nutmeg. I'm wondering if the on-site reviews crowing about how delicious and fragrant it is are drinking the same tea as me.

But hey, you get a shiny tin.

  • Minnie Mouse

    

I'm not a big Disney fan anymore, but honey, caramel and rose sounded like a good combination.

I wasn't disappointed. It smells wonderfully rosy both in the tin and in the cup. The tea itself is a bit of a chameleon; depending on how long you steep it you'll get more honey and caramel or more rose. Shorter steeps get more of the former, and longer gets more of the latter.

  • Sour Apple

    

Oh, it's sour alright. Sour because hibiscus is sour. Very little apple flavor to speak of, just overpowering hibiscus. Yuck.

  • Butterscotch Blondie

    

I remember getting this once back in the day before it was discontinued. Reminded me of those artificially-flavored 'butterscotch' chips you find in the grocery store. Stick to the Vanilla Bean Macaron; it's way better.

  • Iced Blushberry Black

    

Just okay. There's not really a lot of berry flavor here. It's mostly hibiscus and black tea, so it's not really something I'd ever want again as I don't like hibiscus.

  • Vanilla Caramel Chai

    

Sweet without being nauseating. Has a good blend of spices rather than just being cinnamon water too, which is a problem with most bagged chais.

  • Berry Blossom White

    

Tazo's flavored white teas are usually pretty good, and this is no exception. I cold-brew either this or the apricot vanilla white tea for best taste.

  • Chocolate Mint Oolong Tea

    

It's decent for a bagged dessert tea, but mint is a powerful flavor and there's a lot of it here. The chocolate's jut a background note.

  • GINGER PEACH BLACK TEA

    

Normally I like ginger, peach, and licorice, but not together. The licorice throw off the whole balance of the tea, and really should have been left out.

  • Pu-Erh Poe

    

Fishy. Way, way too fishy for my liking. I think I can't really drink unflavored pu erh. All it tastes and smells like to me is fish and dirt.

  • Ginger Pear Tea Bags

    

It's hard to find a good oear tea at all, let alone ginger pear. It's got a nice balance between the two flavors. Definitely something I'd want more of.

  • Canton Spice Tea Bags

    

Much spicer and more intense than their Indian chai. If you had to choose between the two, I'd take this one.

  • Tiger Chai Tea Bags

    

Don't call yourself "the best in the world" if you can't live up to it, and this most definitely does not live up to it. It's mediocre at best.

  • ORANGE SPICE BLACK

    

Like a stronger version of Constant Comment, this is very spicy and orangey. Like other reviewers have said, don't oversteep this one or it'll turn real nasty, real quick.

  • White Eternal Spring

    

Very delicate but pleasant. Might be nice as an afternoon tea, because it's way too light for mornings.

  • Pomegranate Green

    

Not much flavor at all. Smelled more of raspberries than anything, and what flavor there is is mostly raspberry and not so much pomegranate.

  • Cupid’s Cup

    

It's got a nice, fruity flavor, though I'm less fond of the strong hibiscus note. It's a bit less overbearing when cold rather than hot.

  • Green Chai

    

It's got a pleasant flavor, but I don't think green teas really work all that well as a chai. It really needs something heartier, like a black tea.

  • Rooibos Pecan Turtle

    

I think I would like this better on a black base. Rooibos doesn't do it for me; there's a woody quality to it that reminds me of the way pencil shavings smell.

  • Rooibos Vanilla Chai Iced Tea

    

I think I can tolerate rooibos if it's cold. That said, this still isn't all that great. The vanilla comes off a bit more fake here than it does in other blends.

  • English Breakfast Iced Tea

    

Basic black teas are always good choices for iced tea. Just toss in some lemon slices, add sugar or whatever else you like. Can't go wrong.

  • Milky Way

    

I didn't think mint and caramel could be this good together, but here we are. It's a much better combination than I thought it would be.

  • Coconut Pouchong

    

I like the black coconut better, but I wouldn't say no to this one. It's a nice, light coconut tea that's wonderful in the afternoon.

  • Decaf Hazelnut Cinnamon Creme

    

Normally I don't like decaf, but this is really tasty, and wonderful when I want black tea in the evening.

  • Honey Vanilla Chamomile

    

Too sweet and fake-tasting. If I need this blend, there's other brands that offer similar ones that aren't so cloying.

  • Bengal Spice

    

I used to like it when I was younger, but now I find it too sweet. This is something I've noticed about a lot of CS' spiced blends; they're sweet to the point of being overwhelming.

  • Chestnut

    

My favorite of Adagio's nutty teas. It's warm and toasty, and has almost a maple syrup note to it. I know it's technically a 'holiday' tea, but I'll drink it year-round.

  • BLUEBERRY GREEN

    

Blueberry's one of those flavors that always works for me. The vanilla and lemongrass definitely help this blends along too.

  • Mulled Plum Cider

    

Normally I don't like blends with hibiscus in it, but this works just fine for me, The plum and spice flavors manage to hold their own against the hibiscus.

  • ORGANIC PEPPERMINT

    

It's peppermint. I really can't tell the difference between grocery store peppermint tea and more expensive stuff. Maybe my palate just isn't refined enough.

It's good all the same though.

  • EARL GREY

    

Decent enough if you don't have or can't use loose tea. I'll throw a few of these in my bag when I'm staying overnight at a friends and don't have access to my fancier teas.

  • Caramel Apple Dream

    

Sometimes CS's spiced teas can be cloyingly sweet. This is one of those times. Like another reviewer said it starts out nice enough, but the more you drink it, the less you want to.

  • Chai Vanilla Caramel Latte

    

Always good to keep around when I want a quick cup of chai. A little bit on the sweet side, but you can't beat it for convenience.

  • NORTHWEST BLACKBERRY

    

I've never met a blackberry tea I didn't like, and this is no exception. It's always nice to have on hand, and is equally good hot or cold.

  • Berry Jamboree Tea Bags

    

Very sweet, almost cloyingly so. It needs to be taken iced in order to tone it down enough to be drinkable.

  • Oriental Spice

    

Tastes nice. but there's nothing really special about it. It kind of reminds me of Constant Comment or other orange spice holiday teas.

  • Honeybush Chocolate

    

Good chocolate cent and flavor. It's nice as a dessert tea in the evening, or if you want to add some chocolate flavor to an herbal blend.

  • Mango

    

I'm not the biggest fan of mango, but this is a nice, fruity tea. I like it iced more than hot.

  • Gingerbread

    

It's not the most gingerbready gingerbread tea around, but it makes a nice holiday tea all the same.

  • Always Nuts

    

It smells wonderful and has a pleasant flavor...until the hibiscus kicks in and overpowers everything else. I really don't care for hibiscus, and don't see why you need it in a nutty, creamy blend.

  • Apricot Vanilla Creme

    

Given how light and delicate this tea is, I found that it works best when you cold-brew it. If you do that, you get a light, sweet apricot tea with a hint of creamy sweetness.

  • Decaf Cream

    

Seemingly less bitter than the caffeinated cream tea. Very sweet and rich-tasting, nice to use in blends with other teas.

  • Pina Colada Iced Tea

    

Too much hibiscus. It overshadows the pina colada flavors, leaving you with more tart hibiscus than anything.

  • Watermelon Cooler

    

This was meant to be taken iced imo. Hot watermelon's a little weird for me, but if you like it that way I'm not about to judge.

That said, it has a strong watermelon flavor and makes a really nice cup of iced tea.

  • Ginger Aid

    

I love ginger tea, and this is always a good choice. It's got a strong, spicy ginger flavor that I really enjoy.

  • Matcha Raspberry

    

Disappointingly, it only has the faintest ghost of raspberry flavor. Matcha takes center stage here, and drowns the fruit flavor out.

  • Earl Grey Bravo

    

A good, basic Earl for when I want something a bit stronger than the cream Earl, and fancier than a bagged tea. Can't go wrong with it.

  • Ceylon Sonata Iced Tea

    

Perfect for a basic black iced tea. Take it as-is, or doctor it up with a sweetener and some fruit. Either way it's good.

  • Thai Chai Iced Tea

    

I like this a lot better cold than I do hot. It actually makes a really nice cup of iced tea, letting the coconut and spices shine.

  • Rooibos Cocomint

    

Not for me. I was hoping the chocolate and mint flavors would outweigh the rooibos, but it's right there. Just not something I like.

  • CHOCOLATE ROOIBOS

    

I enjoy this. The chocolate flavor mutes the rooibos flavor enough that I don't mind it, making for a nice dessert tea.

  • BEET CABBAGE

    

Tried this on a dare and really didn't like the taste. It might be better to use in cooking than to drink as a tea.

  • WHITE ROSE

    

My niece calls this "faerie princess tea", and it fits. It's very light, delicate and rosy, a nice accompaniment to dessert.

  • CARDAMOM PU-ERH

    

Not as good as the chocolate pu-erh. The cardamom is there, but it doesn't hold up against the pu-erh all that well. It probably needed to be a full-blown chai with ginger, cinnamon, etc.

  • Cranberry Tea Bags

    

It's tart, but the same way cranberry juice is, so it's tart in a good way. It's less tart iced if you want to tone it down a little.

  • Peach Chai Spice Tea Bags

    

The peach is a little cloying, but it's not a bad chai if you keep to a shorter steep. Not bad as an iced tea either.

  • Pu-erh Tahiti

    

The coconut and papaya help to cover up the pu-erh weirdness that I don't like, but still get the benefit of drinking pu-erh.

  • Peach Oolong

    

Just as nice as the peach black tea, but a bit lighter and slightly woody thanks to the oolong base. Makes a nice afternoon tea.

  • PEACH

    

Can't go wrong with a peach tea. It's got a nice, fresh peachy flavor, and is equally good as either hot or iced tea.

  • Pu-erh Hazelberry

    

I don't like unflavored pu-erh. It's too fishy and weird for me. That said, this i really good. The strawberry and nutty flavors cover up any pu-erh weirdness and make it really enjoyable.

  • Minty Licorice Delight

    

I like licorice, but the mint gives this more of a 'menthol cough drop' feeling. That said, it's great when you have a sore throat.

  • Organic Vanilla Honeybush Herbal Tea

    

It's an okay vanilla decaf tea. A little artificially-sweet, but still drinkable.

  • Cinnamon Vanilla Herbal Tea

    

Normally I'm not a fan of rooibos, but it's a slight background note here. Vanilla and cinnamon take center stage here, and make it a nice evening cup.

  • SPICED PEAR

    

Not a bad pear flavor for a bagged tea. The spices are pretty light, and the fruit is the stronger flavor here.

  • CHINA ROSE PETAL Leaf tea

    

I never say no to a rose-flavored tea. This is exactly what I want; floral, but not soapy. Sweet, but not cloying.

  • LEMON & ORANGE TEA BAGS

    

Citrus always says "iced tea" to me, and this is no exception. It makes a tasty glass of iced tea, even better with some lemon slices thrown in.

  • Pu Erh Hazelberry Iced Tea

    

It doesn't matter how I drink this, I love it. It's nice and strong, with lots of strawberry and hazelnut flavor.

  • CAMOMILE, HONEY & VANILLA

    

Nice for bedtime. Probably wouldn't want it at any other time of day, since I don't really like chamomile that much.

  • PEACH & PASSION FRT BLACK TEA BAGS

    

Not one of Ahmad's better blends. Personally I think it would have been better as just peach or passionfruit, not both.

  • Green Almond Tea

    

Not for me. I don't really like almond on a green base; I feel like nutty flavors really need to be black or oolong.

  • Floral Nectar

    

Very floral, but I like lavender. The apricot flavoring is very sweet, and adds a nice fruitiness to the mix.

  • Valentine's Tea Blend

    

Normally I don't like blends with hibiscus, but S&V's got a light hand with it. It doesn't overtake the chocolate and pomegranate flavors at all, but adds a tart background note to the blend.

  • Lilac Bouquet

    

I've found that I don't like lilac as a flavor. It smells wonderful, but it's just *too* floral and almost powdery.

  • Lemon Ginger

    

I like this when I'm not feeling well. Nice balance of lemon and ginger, goes really well with some honey.

  • Almond

    

A fairly standard almond-flavored black tea. The Almond Sugar Cookie is better imo.

  • William Shakespeare's Black Tea Blend

    

I enjoy this one as much as I do Shakespeare. It's an interesting take on an Earl, though I'd keep the steeping time short if I were you. The rosemary becomes too strong otherwise.

  • Vanilla Orange Jasmine

    

I was curious about this one, but it just doesn't work. Pair either orange or jasmine with vanilla, but not both. It's really muddled and strange.

  • White Blueberry Iced Tea

    

Would be nice if it had more flavor. The blueberry flavor is nice, but way too light. I'll jut stick to making iced tea out of the blueberry black.

  • White Strawberry

    

Very light and fruity. I know hibiscus is usually added to herbal teas for color, but I wish they wouldn't. Liked this way better after I painstakingly picked all the hibiscus out.

  • Cream Iced Tea

    

If you cold-brew it it isn't bad. It's decently sweet and creamy. Brew it hot though, and it's got that bitterness that the cream tea is all too prone to.

  • Peach Oolong Iced Tea

    

Peach is always a good choice for iced tea, and this is a lighter option than black tea, but a richer one than white or green.

  • Pomegranate

    

It's alright. It doesn't remind me that much of pomegranate, but it's a decent, drinkable fruity tea.

  • Cinnamon Apple Tea Bags

    

Nothing wrong with apple cinnamon. It's a perfectly nice tea to have, especially in the Fall.

  • CRANBERRY ORANGE

    

It's pretty Fall-appropriate, all citrusy and cranberry. Pretty nice to have around in the autumn months.

  • RASPBERRY CREAM Caramel

    

This is actually pretty nice with some cream and sugar. I'm not normally one for cream in my teas, but it definitely helps this along.

  • LEMON LIFT Decaf TEABAGS

    

Normally I don't go for decaf, but this is alright. I usually use it for iced tea so that I can have some in the evening without worrying about having trouble sleeping.

  • Wuyi Ensemble

    

Too much of a mineral taste for my liking. Tasted like someone had dumped gravel into my tea.

  • Jolly Roger

    

A fun dessert tea. I like both the honeybush banana nut tea and butterscotch tea individually, and it seems I like them together too.

  • sweet cinnamon black tea bags

    

Very sweet and spicy, seemed like a pretty standard chai to me. Nothing special enough to make me seek it out again.

  • Just Lemon Tea Bags

    

It's okay. Decent balance of lemon and tea, nothing to get too excited about. Best used as an iced tea.

  • Key Lima Colada Tea Bags

    

Not bad, but the flavors really lend themselves to iced tea. It's good hot, but worlds better cold.

  • Gingerman Tea Bags

    

What a letdown. I was expecting something cookielike, but only got artificial sweetness. Milk and sugar didn't help; in fact, they only made it worse.

  • Pumpkin Spice Tea Bags

    

Normally I love pumpkin spice, and I'm always on the lookout for new pumpkin spice teas to try, but this just isn't good. It tastes off.

  • VANILLA CHAI tea bags

    

I like vanilla chais. They're much more desserty than a regular chai, and especially good with some whipped cream.

  • Chocolate Strawberry Tea Bags

    

Chocolate-strawberry is one of my favorite flavor combinations, and this doesn't disappoint. With cream and sugar it's really good.

  • Cupid's Arrow Tea Bags

    

Pick cherry and vanilla, cherry and almond, or vanilla and almond. All three at once don't go together so well. It's kind of muddled.

  • Christmas Mint Tea Bags

    

I don't like hibiscus mixed with mint. Nope. Not at all, The combination just doesn't jive with me one bit.

  • Matcha Blueberry

One of the nicer flavored matchas Adagio has on offer. Fruity flavors work well with matcha, especially blueberry.

  • Cherry Green

    

Cherry's a hard flavor to pull off, and sadly this tea doesn't do it. It's aritificial-tasting, and reminds me too much of cough drops to be good.

  • Peach Melba Tea Bags

    

Not the best. The flavors are all candylike and artificial, and they muddle together in a way that's just not all that good.

  • Black Raven Tea Bags

    

Purchased primarily because of the name; I love ravens. The taste didn't disappoint either. It's a nice blackcurrant tea.

  • Honeybush Pumpkin Chai

    

I like this much more than the black pumpkin spice; that one's almost unpleasantly strong. This suits my pumpkin spice needs just fine,

  • Green Tea with Lemon

    

Somehow this is better on a green base than it is in their Lemon English Breakfast. It doesn't taste as much like Froot Loops here.

  • Country Peach Passion

    

Since I can't drink caffeinated tea in the evening or I won't sleep, this is my go-to for iced tea lately. Peach is a good iced tea flavor, and this is very peachy.

  • Earl Grey - Jasmine

    

I didn't think jasmine would go well with Earl Grey, but it really does. It's not an overwhelming floral taste, but a light one that compliments the bergamot nicely.

  • Green Tea with Mint Cold Brewed

    

Mostly mint with a hint of green tea grassiness. Very refreshing, good for a quick cup of iced tea on hot days.

  • Earl Grey

    

The first Earl I ever had, purchased because I wanted to see if I liked EG. Turns out I do. It's a decent basic Earl, nice to have around when I don't have anything better.

  • Camomile, Honey & Vanilla

    

I used to drink this when I was having trouble sleeping. It was pleasant enough and maybe helped a little.

  • Lady Grey

    

It's a light, fruity take on an Earl. I like it in the afternoon, or as an iced, tea.

  • Scorpio

    

I'm not the biggest fan of mango, but I figured I'd try it and it's surprisingly good. I don't even notice the rooibos, which is great because I hate it.

  • SPICED APRICOT SPECIAL BLEND TEA BAGS

    

Much weaker than I thought it would be. It smells like fruit and cinnamon, but the flavor's just a suggestion of the two.

  • HOT CINNAMON SPICE

    

Very sweet, and tastes like Red Hots. It's good in the Fall, but I probably wouldn't buy it any other time of year.

  • Black Dragon Pearls

    

I buy these when I feel like treating myself, as they *are* a bit pricey. Rich and almost chocolatey, they're just so good!

  • Peach Cold Brewed

    

Peach is always a good flavor for iced tea, and the cold-brew packets are convenient for when you don't want to make a whole pitcher.

  • Earl Grey - Bold

    

The first Earl Grey I ever had, and the reason I decided I like EG. I still go back to it from time to time when I don't feel like dipping into my pricier loose-leaf teas.

  • Bengali Spice

    

I can only stand a cup of this every once in a great while. It's way too sweet and candylike to drink on a regular basis.

  • India Spice Chai

    

It's a decent chai. I find it a touch too sweet for me, as a lot of CS' blends are, but it'll do in a pinch.

  • Butterscotch

    

It's good on its own, but it's also really good at adding a sweet, buttery flavor to dessert blends.

  • Golden Emperor Chrysanthemum Dragon Ball

    

I really enjoy these. The tea is strong and stands up to four steeps, and the chrysanthemum adds a nice, light floral taste. However, they're still too big for most infusers, so be warned.

  • Ripened Rose Mini Tuocha

    

Ugh. Gross. Tastes of fish garnished with flower petals. Would give it zero stars if I could.

  • Irish Breakfast

    

I actually liked this one better than the regular English Breakfast too. Don't get me wrong; that's still an okay tea, but this is stronger and tastes better.

  • English Afternoon

    

I used to drink this for years, and not necessarily in the afternoon either! This was more of an 'all-day' tea for me. It just tastes better to me than their English Breakfast does.

  • English Classic Cold Brewed

    

Decent cup of iced tea. Add a little sugar or lemon if you like, or don't. Either way it's okay.

  • Mixed Berries Cold Brewed

    

This was my first cold-brewed tea, and comes in handy when I just want a cup or two of iced tea. You don't always want to make a full pitcher, you know?

  • French Vanilla Chai

    

I prefer this over Twinings' basic chai. It needs the vanilla to smooth it out a bit, as on their own the spices can be a bit overpowering.

  • GREEN TEA WITH LEMON GREEN TEA BAGS

    

Not really the best, but I don't like added lemon flavoring in tea. It's best to just add lemon to your tea yourself.

  • ENGLISH TEA COLD BREW ICED TEA

    

Handy for when I want some iced tea and don't want to brew an entire pitcher. Nor do I have to wait for one cup to cool down. Can't beat it for convenience.

  • Matcha Peach

    

One of the better flavored matchas on offer. The peach flavor's nice, and works much better with the matcha base than some other flavorings.

  • Bonfire

    

Really not that great IMO, There's a lot going on here, and it's all a bit much. Maybe if it was pared down a bit it wouldn't seem so muddled to me.

  • English Breakfast Extra Bold

    

It's a decent bagged black tea, and a bit stronger than their standard English Breakfast. I probably wouldn't prefer it over the regular, easier to find version though.

  • Sweet Harvest Pumpkin

    

'Sweet' is the operative word here. This is VERY sweet. It's a nice, spicy fall tea though, and almost reminds me of pumpkin cake.

  • Chocolate Rose Tea

    

I used to love this one, since chocolate and rose is a flavor profile I'm fond it. Chocolatey with just enough rose, it was really lovely.

I'm still annoyed they discontinued it except in gift sets.

  • Vanilla Iced Tea

    

You can't get this in pouches anymore, but there's no reason you can't ice the regular Vanilla tea. Either way it's best mixed with other teas rather than taken alone.

  • Lapsang Souchong Iced Tea

    

I tried this once years ago, and no. Not good iced. It tasted like cold Liquid Smoke.

  • White Blueberry

    

Lighter than most teas I prefer, but it has a nice blueberry flavor. Be sure not to oversteep or brew it too hot, or else it's not that good.

  • CRANBERRY APPLE HERBAL TEA BAGS

    

It's drinkable iced. I really wouldn't ever seek it out again though. Taking it cold cuts down on the tartness a bit, but it's still very tart.

  • Eggnogg'n Tea bags

    

It's not that bad. To be fair I've never actually tasted eggnog so I don't know how accurate it is or isn't, but it's got a creamy, cinnamony taste that I enjoy.

  • Coconut Cocoa

    

I love chocolate and coconut together. With a bit of sugar it's the perfect dessert tea for me.

  • WATERMELON MINT BLACK TEA BAGS

    

I can't imagine drinking this hot. It's meant to be iced, and if you do, you have a sweet fruity, slightly minty tea that's really nice.

  • STRAWBERRY CUPPA CHOCOLATE TEA BAGS

    

Normally I do not like rooibos, since I find the flavor off-putting. This I do enjoy because the strawberry and chocolate covers it up, and since it's got no caffeine it's a nice evening cup.

  • KIWI PEAR GREEN TEA BAGS

    

IMO this is meant to be taken as an iced tea, but a lot of fruity greens are. It's got a nice pear-forward flavor, and is really refreshing cold.

  • Matcha Mocha

    

There are certain things that are not meant to go together. Matcha and mocha are one such combination. It's just really bad.

  • Ginger Peach

    

Too much peach, not enough ginger. That's a problem I've had with all ginger peach teas; there's almost no ginger at all. Might as well just get the plain peach.

  • Forest Berries

    

Not my favorite, and normally I like berry-flavored things. This reminded me of cough syrup.

  • Lemon Soleil

    

It's decent in blends and as an iced tea. It isn't strongly lemony, but that's good; too much and it tastes like Froot Loops.

  • RED VELVET CAKE

    

I still had some of this left over from last year. It's okay, but it's a reminder of why I don't order from David's all that often. It tastes like canned frosting, and the base tea itself is annoyingly bitter.

  • Black Cask Bourbon

    

It smells like barbecue sauce. That's what I thought when I opened the tin. Between the lapsang tea and the bourbon flavoring it seems like something I'd rather marinate meat in than drink.

Taste-wise it's not bad. Smoky, with a slight boozy edge to it. Also yeah, something that still reminds me of barbecue sauce. Honestly, I think I'll be using the rest of my tin in marinades rather than drinking it.

  • chocolate covered almond

    

Like a lot of David's Teas...teas, it smells better than it tastes. It's not *bad* but it's definitely much weaker than I thought it would be.

  • chocolate earl grey

    

No. Not good. I've had chocolate Earl Grey and chocolate infused with Earl Grey tea, and this couldn't measure up. There's too much going on with the fruit and rose petals and stevia is just a hard no. Also, white chocolate? Ew.

  • Pumpkin Earl Grey

    

I'd sooner call it "Carrot Cake Earl Grey" than pumpkin, but I suspect that wouldn't sell as well. There's a strong carrot flavor (probably due to the big hunks of carrot) along with the bergamot and spices. The cream, vanilla and butter flavors that are supposed to be there are completely lost.

It was worth a try, but I doubt I'd ever get it again.

  • Watermelon Lime Zinger

    

I have to agree with everyone else saying that this isn't meant to be taken hot. It really isn't. It's something that seems to be meant only for iced tea.

  • AMBESSA CHOCO NUT - 50 SACHET BAG

    

It's alright, but not something I'd ever want again. Harney's chocolate flavoring just doesn't do it for me. The apricot made it tolerable, but there was no nut to be found.

  • Sea Buckthorn Candies

    

Picked this up at NetCost, because they had a lot of them and I was curious as to what it might taste like.

I wasn't sure if I liked it at first. It's very orangey with a weird, funky aftertaste to it that's hard to describe. Ahmad's fruit flavorings are usually spot-on, so I'm assuming this is close to what they'd actually taste like. The more I drank. the more I decided I actually did like it. Thinking about trying it iced as well.

  • Chocolate Hazelnut Black Tea

    

This needs sweetener to be at its best. Also milk, if you like it in your tea (I don't). It has a pretty nice balance of chocolate and nutty flavors if you do, but be careful not to oversteep it or else it gets really bitter.

  • Green Tea with Mint Tea Bags

    

Just like the Twinings one, it's a decent minty green for the price. Also a pretty good choice to make a pitcher of mint iced tea if you don't just want to go with pure peppermint.

  • Green Tea with Mint

    

Deecent enough for a supermarket green tea. Makes a refreshing pitcher of iced tea. No need to add anything to it, just take it as-is.

  • English Breakfast Lemon

    

The lemon tastes very artificial. You'd be better served just adding a bit of lemon to your tea yourself if that's what you really want.

  • English Breakfast Honey & Vanilla

    

Bought this one on a whim, and I really enjoy it. The honey and vanilla are a nice addition to an otherwise basic black tea.

  • Green Pomegranate, Raspberry & Strawberry

    

I like using fruit-flavored greens for iced tea. This is lovely with a little bit of honey added, or even with nothing at all.

  • Ultra Spice Chai

    

Much better than their standard chai, which tastes like hot water with a hint of spices. Still not as good as loose tea, but it'll do in a pinch.

  • Chai

    

It's really not that great on its own. It needs the extra flavorings its other varieties offer, like spiced apple or pumpkin, to make it worth drinking.

  • Spiced Apple Chai

    

It's not the best apple chai, but it's decent when I don't have any loose teas around. As far as Twinings' chais go, this one is one of their better ones.

  • Fireside Vanilla Spice

    

After a while, all CS's spiced teas start to taste the same. All of them are almost too sweet and full of cinnamon. The vanilla helps differentiate this enough to make it worth buying again.

  • Yunnan Rose Dragon Ball Black Tea

    

These are lovely, with a rich black Yunnan and at least three or four rose buds per ball. That said, they are *big*. Too big for my infuser. Steeping them can be a bit of a pain.

  • Vanilla Cream Spice

    

I needed two bags to get a decent flavor out of this, but it was pleasant once I did. Otherwise the flavor is far too weak to stand up to any additional sweeteners.

  • CONSTANT COMMENT BLACK TEA BAGS

    

This tea just says "Christmas" to me. That's what it reminds me of; winter and Christmastime, because that's usually when Mom used to have it in the house.

  • MIXED BERRIES & HIBISCUS

    

Not the best, I prefer their berry black teas to this tisane, probably because there's way too much hibiscus in here for my liking.

  • Nutcracker Sweet

    

It's hard to find where I am (we're awash in Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride though), but it's worth picking up when I can get it.

  • Keemun Rhapsody

    

Just a nice, strong black tea. It doesn't need anything added to it, though sometimes I do take it with a bit of sugar.

  • Double Ginger

    

To be honest I'd probably like this more if it were just pure ginger. I really don't want or need the added fruit flavors and peppercorns.

  • Lemon Lavender Lane

    

I'm a sucker for lavender. Not so much lemon, but the two flavors do pair nicely. I like drinking this before I go to bed at night.

  • Vermont Maple Ginger

    

It's a pleasant tea with enough ginger to be properly spicy. I usually sweeten it with maple syrup to bump up the maple flavor that much more. Just don't oversteep it or it gets this weird, waxy mouthfeel.

  • Cranberry Vanilla Wonderland

    

Oof, no. I don't like the taste of stevia, and I didn't notice that it had stevia and hibiscus until it was too late. Gave it to a friend that does enjoy it.

  • Gingerbread Spice

    

It tastes a lot like CS' other sweet spiced teas. It's a nice tea to have for the holidays, but I wouldn't seek it out in particular.

  • ENGLISH TEA NO 1 BLACK TEA

    

Solid bagged black tea. It makes a nice iced tea too, thanks to the citrusy bergamot, Just throw some bags in a pitcher with water and lemon and you're good.

  • Gingerbread Festival

    

H&S' flavored teas tend to be really good or really bad. This is really bad. There's an odd, funky flavor to it that I can't identify, but it ruins the whole tea. At least the tin is pretty.

  • VENETIAN TIRAMISU

    

Oof. I don't know what this tastes like, but it definitely doesn't remind me of tiramisu. I won't ever buy this one again.

  • Plum Good Tea Bags

    

Normally I hate hibiscus, but thankfully there's not too much here. It's almost like that little bit of plum-skin tartness and not "Oh hey, I'm hibiscus and you're not going to taste anything else". Surprisingly nice cup of tea.

  • Pear Ginger

    

Tastes of pear and ginger, which is exactly what I want. Unlike a lot of ginger peach teas where the ginger is completely overpowered by the peach, both the fruit and spice are very much present here.

  • ROSE PETAL BLACK

    

One of my favorite rose teas. It's floral and fragrant, needing absolutely nothing in the way of sweetener to help it along, but not so rosy that it feels like you're drinking soap.

  • Green Tea Chai tea bags

    

Today I learned that I really don't like green tea as a base for chai. The grassy green tea and the spices don't really work together all that well for me.

  • Green Tea with Pomegranate

    

Not the best, but okay when you don't have better. Nicer iced than hot, especially if you throw some fresh fruit in the pitcher too. I usually use raspberries.

  • FRENCH VANILLA TEA BAGS

    

It's not so bad if you follow my usual rule about Bigelow's teas: use 190-200 degree water and don't steep for more than 2-3 minutes. You'll get a decent cup of vanilla tea that way.

  • True Blueberry

    

I like this as an iced tea, mainly because cold-brewing it cuts down on the hibiscus flavor by a lot, and allows the blueberry to really shine.

  • VALENTINE'S BLEND

    

This is just their chocolate tea decorated with a few scattered rose petals. Nothing different. I had to doctor it up with some whole rosebuds I had to get the flavor I wanted.

  • PANYANG CONGOU

    

Good basic black tea. Toasty and malty, with no astringency to speak of. Glad I gave this one another try, since the first tin I got wasn't all that great.

  • APPLE CINNAMON

    

My favorite fall cup, with a nice balance of apple and cinnamon. It has a much more natural cinnamon flavor than the candylike Hot Apple Spice.

  • PUMPKIN SPICE BLACK TEA

    

It's a nice pumpkin spice tea, but like a lot of Bigelow's teas you have to be careful with the steep temperature and time, or be faced with astringent nastiness.

  • HiCAF Toasted Coconut Black Tea

    

I like coconut and licorice, but sadly I don't like them together. I don't get why RoT needed to add licorice to this blend, but it just doesn't work.

  • HiCAF Cinnamon Toast Black Tea

    

Would be so much better *without* the stevia. I'll sweeten my tea on my own, thanks. It's a shame it's there, because it does have a nutty, cinnamony, toasty flavor otherwise.

  • Vanilla Almond

    

Tastes and smells like almond cookies or marzipan. Really nice for a bagged tea, and quickly becoming my go-to morning tea.

  • Caramel Peach with Coconut

    

I like caramel, peach and coconut, but apparently not together. Pick two out of the three and it'll be fine, but not *all* three.

  • GINGER PEACH BLACK FULL-LEAF

    

Much better than the bagged version in that you can actually taste the ginger. The bagged is nice, but it's all peach and no ginger.

  • GREEN TEA BAGS

    

This is a resounding "meh". Low-quality grassy green tea, but you get what you pay for, and this is is a cheap supermarket brand.

  • VANILLA CARAMEL TEA BAGS

    

This can be good, but it's very finicky to brew. It has to be steeped at 190-200 degrees for 2 minutes, or else the base tea has an unpleasant astringent note to it that overpowers the flavoring.

  • EARL GREY BLACK TEA BAGS

    

It's a decent bagged Earl. Not as good as loose tea of course, but okay for when you're on the go or don't have anything else on hand.

  • Ginger Peach Green Tea

    

Good balance between ginger and peach. Too often ginger peach teas are all peach and no ginger.

  • GINGER BREAKFAST BLACK TEA

    

Too many times I've come across ginger teas that are disappointingly mild. This is not one of those teas. There's a nice kick of ginger spice here.

  • BLACK FOREST BLACK TEA

    

Tried this once before it was discontinued. The chocolate flavor was nice, but the cherry had that cough-syrupy taste to it that so many cherry-flavored things have.

  • Chocolate Hazelnut Defaf Black Tea

    

Really delicious. Surprisingly chocolatey and nutty for a bagged tea. I just wish it came in a caffeinated version as well.

  • Sweet Honeydew

    

It really does taste and smell just like honeydew. It's nice warm, but as an iced tea is where it really shines. A little bit of honey and it's perfect.

  • Masala Chai Iced Tea

    

Not really my thing. Some teas just don't work all that well iced for me, and chai on the whole is one of them. Cold + spices just don't vibe imo.

  • Blue Mango Iced Tea

    

Bought it for the color, won't buy it again because I don't like lemongrass *that* much. It's really less "blue mango" and more "blue lemongrass".

  • Candy Cane

    

Cool and minty, but a bit creamy like an actual candy cane would be. It's not a tea that I seek out all that often, but it's something I like to have on-hand during the holidays.

  • Candy Apple Concoction

    

The added vanilla adds a bit of much-needed creaminess to the otherwise only okay candy apple tea.

  • Spiced Apple Chai

    

It's a lighter chai, and really does need you to use more leaf for the best taste. It still has that "apple pie" flavor profile all the same, and is a lovely fall/winter tea.

  • Assam Melody Iced Tea

    

Excellent if you want a pitcher of traditional iced tea. Lemon and sweetener are nice, but not necessary.

  • Assam Melody

    

Good when I'm in the mood for a basic black tea. It can get a bit bitter if oversteeped, but if brewed at a lower temperature for 3 minutes it's really nice, sweet and malty.

  • PEPPERMINT HERBAL TEA BAGS

    

Very minty, which is what I want out of a peppermint tea. I keep some on-hand for the occasional pitcher of iced tea or for stomach problems.

  • Cranberry Harvest Herbal Tea

    

Too tart to be enjoyable. Usually taking it cold helps to cut down on that, but here it really didn't. It's kind of like really, really bad cranberry juice.

  • Organic Earl grey Blanc

    

I like cream Earls, and this is no exception. Bergamot can sometimes be unpleasantly bitter, and the vanilla takes the edge off of that, mellowing it out.

  • Awake English Breakfast

    

Pretty solid black tea. Throw some bags in a pitcher with some lemon slices and it makes a nice iced tea.

  • Vanilla Chai Tea Bags

    

I used to drink this all the time in school. This and the now-discontinued Vanilla Hazelnut. Even though I've moved on to better teas, I still like this once in a while.

  • Bella Luna Blue

    

Bought it for the color. The taste was pretty meh, and not something I'd seek out again, but it looked pretty in the glass.

  • Vanilla Green

    

Makes a nice afternoon tea. Thanks to the lighter base, the vanilla flavor's more pronounced than it is in the vanilla black tea.

  • Raspberry

    

Jammy raspberry flavor. Good hot or iced. Also tasty when blended with chocolate or vanilla teas.

  • Honeybush Hazelnut

    

I'm not a big herbal fan, and I don't like rooibos but I've found that I'm okay with honeybush. This makes a nice blender tea when you don't want to use the hazelnut black.

  • Buttery Shortbread Herbal Tea

    

I'm not normally one for herbals, but this is really lovely. I don't know how they managed it, but there's definitely a buttery, baked good kind of taste here.

  • Spring Romance Black Tea (Lilac)

    

I didn't think there was a floral flavor I wouldn't like, but lilac proved me wrong. It's too powdery and perfumey for me.

  • Strawberries & Cream Black Tea (with Rose)

    

Strawberry, cream and rose is a flavor combination I enjoy. For those who don't like floral flavors that much, the rose is subtle, taking a backseat to the cream and berry flavors.

  • Raspberry Cocoa Truffle

    

I'm a simple girl. I taste raspberry and chocolate, I'm happy. This is one of those teas I can drink on the regular.

  • Summertime Earl Grey

    

It's a tasty peach tea; but that's all it really is; peach. The bergamot's completely overpowered by the peach, so you'd have no idea this was supposed to be an Earl Grey variant if the package didn't say so.

  • Lemon Black Tea

    

Black tea with a mild lemony flavor to it. It's decent enough for iced tea, but you can get the same effect by just adding some lemon to plain black tea.

  • Victorian Earl Grey

    

I'm not sure if I like this or not. The floral notes are nice, but I'm not sure if I'm really a fan of the rosemary's herbiness or not. Sometimes I enjoy it, sometimes I don't.

  • Creme Brulee Black Dessert Tea

    

This is one of those teas that has a really powerful scent. My mother, who doesn't like tea, said "That smells good. What is that?" when I was steeping it. It has a creamy, burnt-sugar taste that's actually quite nice.

  • English Toffee

    

It smells just like Werther's candies, which made me really eager to try it. It doesn't taste all that much like them, but there's a definite toffee/butterscotchy flavor.

  • Cinnamon Apple Spice

    

It sounds inviting, but all I taste is the hibiscus. Yuck! Hibiscus ruins just about every blend it's added to.

  • Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride

    

Despite what some other reviewers say, you *do* have to oversteep this to get a decent flavor. It's painfully weak unless you use two bags and steep for 10 minutes at the least.

  • MIDSUMMER'S PEACH

    

It's a perfectly nice peach tea. Like most peach teas it's good taken either cold or hot. Decent enough if I don't have anything else.

  • PARIS

    

Another mediocre H&S flavored tea. Very thin and weak, with more in the way of scent than actual flavor.

  • Indigo Punch

    

Makes a sweet, fruity and very blue pitcher of iced tea. Best of all, it's not drowning in hibiscus like most fruity herbals.

  • POMEGRANATE OOLONG

    

Harney likes to send this one as a sample, so I've ended up with a few bags of it. It's very light and fruity, enjoyable on occasion but not something I'd buy.

  • FRENCH SUPER-BLUE LAVENDER

    

I love lavender, and the color is a bonus. I don't drink it every day, but it helps when I'm feeling anxious due to how soothing lavender is.

  • Rose Chai

    

First things first: dump the bags out into a tin or something, because this smells *really* strong. Whenever I opened up my cabinet I could smell it. The flavor is much milder than the smell would suggest; light rose and cinnamon are the dominant notes. There's supposedly coconut in here too, but I wouldn't know unless you told me.

  • ROSE SCENTED

    

I enjoy it, but not as much as I do Adagio's Summer Rose. For some reason this can come off as soapy when you brew it wrong. I'll take it if offered, but I don't really buy it all that often.

  • CHOCOLATE TEA

    

Normally I like chocolate teas. I wanted to like this tea. I've tried various steep times, temperatures and amounts of leaf, but it's just not good. Weird and artificial, with a funky aftertaste.

PS: If a tea needs milk in it to be 'good' then the tea itself is not good!

  • Songluo Broken

    

One of my go-to basic black teas. The leaves are tiny, almost dust, but they've got a lot of flavor. Only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is that those tiny leaves tend to escape my tea filter.

  • Apple Sage

    

I don't really like a lot of sage, as Adagio's Blackberry Sage tea has taught me. S&V has a much lighter hand with it though, with the apple coming to the forefront and sage being in the background. Much better to my tastes.

  • Florence

    

Not for me. Harney's chocolate teas always come off a bit...weird for me. Artificial. Whatever hazelnut flavoring is here is lost under that fakey chocolate taste.

  • GINGER & LIQUORICE

    

I like ginger. I like licorice. I do not think the two work well together. It just tasted weird to me, and I couldn't pass it off to anyone else either.

  • HEIRLOOM BARTLETT PEAR

    

I'm not really partial to white tea, but this is really good. The pear flavor actually comes across as pear, maybe due to the actual pear pieces in the mix. My only complaint is that the ground cinnamon goes right through my filter and sinks to the bottom of my cup.

  • CHERRY BLOSSOM

    

Smells nice, not really grassy but can be bitter if steeped too hot. Cherry's a little bit fakey, but not as bad as some other brands.

  • WHITE VANILLA GRAPEFRUIT

    

A lot better than I thought it'd be. I like it iced or cold-brewed more than warmed, because hot grapefruit doesn't really appeal to me.

  • Hot Apple Spice

    

Too much cinnamon. The apple might as well not even be there. Like drinking a cup full of Red Hots that was near a glass of apple juice.

  • TOWER OF LONDON

    

It's supposed to be blackcurrant, but it tastes more like cherry to me. Either way it works nicely with the honey notes; just wish it was a bit stronger though.

Oh, and the tin is purple, which is always a plus.

  • Cherry

    

I liked this better than the new Black Cherry blend. Mixing it with Vanilla or Cream took away the medicinal edge and was really quite nice.

  • Spiced Green

    

Not sure how I feel about spices on a green base. It's pleasant if steeped right, but if not, it has a weird soapy, grassy flavor.

  • Candy Apple

    

It's a nice caramel-apple tea. Only really noticed the cinnamon when I was trying to taste it. All the same, I really wish Adagio would bring back their plain apple tea, since I do miss it.

  • Blueberry

    

I really love this tea. On its own, mixed with vanilla, cream or Earl Grey, hot or cold. It's just really lovely.

  • White Strawberry Basil

    

Better to cold-brew this. Warm, the basil becomes way too prominent for my liking, but when cold-brewed it takes a backseat to the strawberry. Much nicer in my opinion.

  • Black cherry

    

It's not really an upgrade imo. Seems like Adagio was trying to breathe new life into a less-popular flavor, but eh. Still tastes like cough syrup to me.

  • Cacao Kisses Colombian Black Tea

    

I tried it once and it was really nice, a strong, creamy, malty black tea. The cacao nibs didn't make it too chocolatey for those who don't really like chocolate teas. The only downside is that it's a bit too pricey for me.

  • Strawberry Cupcake Black Tea

    

I love this one. Bear in mind it's just as much of a chocolate tea as it is a strawberry one, even though you'd never know from the name. There's a nice balance of chocolate and strawberry flavor, like a chocolate-covered strawberry.

  • Cozy Comfort

    

Just seems like a mild cinnamon tea to me. Maybe I just don't know what black walnut is supposed to taste like, but all I'm really picking up on is cinnamon.

  • Mrs. Grey's Blend

    

It *might* be a bit more citrusy than a standard Earl Grey, but that might just be my imagination. From cup to cup sometimes I think it is, and sometimes it isn't. It's still nice either way, but not unique enough to buy again.

  • Kashmir Rose

    

I didn't really find this harsh or soapy, but then again I like floral teas. It's important not to oversteep it, and keep to 190-200 degrees, or else it *will* taste a bit funky, but otherwise it's a lovely balance of rose and spice.

  • Ceylon Sonata

    

The real value of this tea for me is as a blank slate that I can build on. Adding my own flowers or spices or mixing with flavored honeybush teas in case I want something caffeinated.

  • Mango Iced Tea

    

Mango's not really my go-to flavor, but it's nice here. The pouches can't be beat for convenience either.

  • Cherry Marzipan Oolong

    

Cherry's a finicky flavor, and it's hard to do right. Usually it ends up tasting like cough drops, which is exactly what it's like here. Ick.

  • Ginger

    

This tea's been pretty hit-and-miss for me over the years. Sometimes it's very gingery, others not at all. I love ginger, so I want it to be the former moreso than the latter.

  • MINT MYSTIQUE

    

Standard minty green tea. Pretty nice if that's what you're looking for.

  • LEMON & LIME TWIST

    

It's better as an iced tea then a hot one, but I still can't get away from the feeling that someone dumped flat Sprite in my tea. Blech.

  • PEACH & PASSION FRUIT

    

It's a decent enough bagged peach tea, and makes for an okay pitcher of iced tea in a pinch. Stash's peach tea is way better though, both iced and hot.

  • MANGO & LYCHEE

    

Really better cold than hot, which I've found is the rule in general for fruit-flavored greens. It's nice, but not my first choice.

  • APPLE REFRESH

    

It so hard to find a plain apple tea. I like apple cinnamon too, but sometimes I don't *want* any cinnamon. This has been my go-to ever since Adagio discontinued their apple black tea years ago.

  • JASMINE ROMANCE

    

The floral taste is there and pleasant, but overshadowed by a way-too-grassy green base. No real 'romance' here.

  • Earl Grey Bella Luna

    

I enjoy both Earl Grey and coconut, so I had to try this. It's a lovely creamy, coconutty, slightly-citrusy tea, so I liked it quite a bit. Keep the temperature lower though, maybe 190-200 degrees, or else it gets very bitter.

  • ENGLISH BREAKFAST TEA BAGS

    

It's a perfectly-serviceable bagged black tea, and maybe a step up from other supermarket bagged brands.

  • English Breakfast

    

Okay for what it is, which is a grocery store bagged black tea. A little silly to compare it to premium loose-leaf tea, as of course it will fall short. It'll do if there's nothing better.

  • GINGER SNAPPISH HERBAL TEA BAGS

    

Still had some of this left over from Christmas. Would be nicer if there was less lemon and more cinnamon and ginger. As it stands, I don't really like it that much.

  • Root Beer Black Tea

    

Points for authenticity; it tastes just like root beer. Sweetened, it reminds me of the root beer barrel candies I used to like as a kid. The only downside is that since there's no fizz, my brain wants to think of it as flat root beer, not tea.

  • Great Smoky Mountains

    

Another tea I wanted to like but couldn't. The whole blackberries were enticing, but the burnt plastic smell sure wasn't. The taste wasn't any better, like someone dumped liquid smoke in my blackberry tea. Yuck.

  • Ginger Pear

    

I wanted to like this. Ginger and pear seemed like such a lovely flavor combination, but sometimes dried ginger comes off as a bit "musty", which it did here. Also the pear flavoring didn't really seem like pear to me. Other people on the company's site said banana, and I'm inclined to agree.

  • Jane Austen's Black Tea Blend

    

It smelled nice, but something about this was just chalky or toothpastey to me. Not really something I'd really want again.

  • Orange

    

It's an orange-flavored tea, just as advertised. The orange flavor reminds me more of fresh orange than orange candy which is nice. It's not really something I'd want to try more than once, however.

  • Campfire S'Mores

    

It doesn't taste like a s'more in the traditional sense, but it's still good. That little bit of lapsang smokiness works well with the dark chocolate flavors.

  • Thai Chai

    

I like this iced more than hot. Warm, the lemongrass comes on a bit strong for me, but cold I get more of the coconut and spices as well.

  • Peach Tea

    

It's good pretty much any way you like it. Iced, warm, cold-brewed, whatever. Nice in blends too, thought it does tend to overshadow milder flavors.

  • Chocolate Truffle

    

Probably the best of Adagio's chocolate teas. It's got the most chocolate flavor out of the three available kinds. Shame you can't use it in blends on the site.

  • Earl Grey Lavender

    

My favorite of the Earls. Lavender's such a soothing flavor, and the vanilla/cream flavors work to take the sharp edge off the bergamot.

  • Double Spice Chai Black Tea

    

Too clovey for me. That's all I really tasted out of this tea: clove. The other spices and the tea itself were lost under the overpowering cloveyness.

  • Summer Rose

    

Smells and tastes wonderful, a real treat if you like floral teas. It works nicely in blends too, but I'd advise you only use a little bit, because it is very strong.

  • Lapsang Souchong

    

I don't buy this to drink, but rather to use in marinades. A little bit goes a long way and really adds a nice flavor to most meats.

  • Coconut Iced Tea

    

I love coconut. Iced or hot it doesn't matter, either way it's just a really good tea as far as I'm concerned.

  • Kentucky Bourbon

    

Tried it on a whim, and sad to say I didn't really like it. It's not that I don't care for lapsang, since I enjoy it in the S'mores blend but not here.

  • Raspberry

    

Tastes like raspberry jam, which is nice. A perfectly serviceable raspberry tea, good both hot or iced.

  • Apple Cinnamon Coffeecake

    

This'd make a really nice Fall/Winter tea. There's something toasty about it that really sells the "baked good" aspect of it, and works wonderfully with the apple and cinnamon flavors.

  • Violet Rose

    

Very sweet and floral. Violet and rose go a lot better together than I really thought they would. As a bit of advice, keep this in a tin, because I could smell it clear through the packaging.

  • Ripe For Romance

    

This is my favorite out of the Valentine's assortment. Can't go wrong with raspberry and chocolate.

  • ENGLISH BREAKFAST TEA

    

It's a serviceable enough black tea. Not bad, but not great. Okay when you don't have anything else on hand.

  • Fiery Cinnamon Spice

    

Reminds me of Red Hots. A tasty cup, but not something that I really want all that often. I really want a more natural cinnamon taste than a candylike one.

  • Earl Grey Moonlight

    

A good choice if you don't want an Earl that's overwhelmingly bergamoty. The cream and vanilla flavors smooth out the bergamot, and make it much less harsh.

  • CINNAMON HAZE

    

Cinnamon is the predominant flavor. If you like cinnamon-flavored things, this'll do you just fine. Really needs to be taken warm; not meant to be iced.

  • CARDAMOM - flavored black TEA

    

Pretty good if you like cardamom. I happen to like it, so I enjoy this tea. Not a daily cup, but nice to have from time to time.

  • LEMON VITALITY

    

Makes a nice, light iced tea. Having it iced cuts down on the grassiness a bit, and adding some lemon juice enhances the lemony flavor.

  • PEAR & CINNAMON STRUDEL

    

I didn't like it much, and normally I enjoy pear flavored things. I think the base tea was too strong for the delicate flavoring and gave it a taste I didn't care for,

  • Peppermint Huckleberry

    

Well, I've learned I'm not really keen on mint and berry as a combination. Had to get rid of it after half a cup.

  • Chai Pumpkin Spice

    

Yes it's a bit on the licoricey side, but I like licorice. Black jellybeans are my favorite. Licorice root aside, it's still a nice spicy tea for the fall and winter.

  • CHOCOLATE MINT

    

No. It smells weird, and the flavor isn't all that great either. Normally chocolate and mint is a combination I like, but H&S does not do it well.

  • CAPRI

    

One of my favorites, and I don't usually go for lemon teas. It's not overly "lemony", but rather sweet and creamy and just a little bit citrusy.

  • GROUND HOJICHA

    

It's interesting. Not something I would really want on a daily basis, but it has a nice, toasty flavor that really is a lot like coffee.

  • Valentines

    

This isn't the tea you want if you want something strawberry-forward. The berry is a background note to the chocolate and rose, but it's still a good tea nonetheless.

  • APRICOT SUNRISE

    

The first apricot tea I ever tried, and it's not bad. Sweet and a little tart, but maybe because the flavor's not as strong as the berry-flavored teas, the bitter base tea tends to take over if oversteeped.

  • RASPBERRY INDULGENCE

    

Smells and tastes strongly of raspberries. Neither it or Ahmad's strawberry tea really need any sweetener, but both are nice with a bit of honey if you like.

  • STRAWBERRY SENSATION

    

Very sweet strawberry tea, even sweeter with honey. It's good hot, but like most fruity teas, it also holds up really well as an iced tea.

  • PEACHES & GINGER

    

Needs more ginger! The few measly pieces of crystallized ginger in here aren't giving it the spicy note I want. The peach flavor's good, but that's all there is.

  • RASPBERRY ROYALE

    

Tasty, but very artificial. It makes a halfway-decent iced tea if you throw some in a pitcher with ice and sweetener.

  • Chocolate Chai Supreme

    

For me at least, it needs to be taken cold. I don't like it so much hot, since there's something off about Harney's chocolate flavoring. Icing it cuts down on that strangeness and makes it drinkable.

  • Plum Black Tea

    

First time finding a plum tea, and it's really lovely. Sweet, without any of the tartness you'd associate with plum skin, it's a nice, fruity cup of tea.

  • Coconut

    

Not much to say here; it's coconut and so I love it. It has a nice, sweet, creamy coconut flavor and the only reason it's not five stars is because if you oversteep it the base tea takes over, and that can be a bit funky.

  • Cinnamon Chocolate Brownie

    

It smells better than it tastes. It's not a *bad* flavor, just very fake-tasting. Reminds me more of Tootsie Rolls and the like than an actual brownie.

  • Apple Cinnamon French Toast

    

I bought a 2oz package of this and went through it in record time. It smells like breakfast. That's the best way I can describe it. The flavor is a nice balance of apple, maple and cinnamon.

  • Toasted Coconut Almond Bark

    

I wanted to like this. It's such a good idea, but so poorly executed. I'm not sure exactly what went wrong when they were blending this tea, but the flavors are just off.

  • Cranberry

    

Better iced than hot because it's a bit on the tart side. Tried it once, don't really need to buy more of it.

  • Meyer Lemon Herbal Tea

    

One of those teas I keep around just for making iced tea. I don't really like it so much hot, but iced it's actually pretty refreshing.

  • Licorice Spice Herbal Tea

    

If you don't like licorice, this isn't the tea for you. If you do, then this is wonderful. Like another reviewer said, it's like drinking black jellybeans.

  • Peach Black Tea

    

This is my go-to for iced tea. The peach flavor is just so good, and it doesn't need any kind of sweetener to help it along.

  • PINEAPPLE GINGER GREEN TEA BAGS

    

I had my doubts about pineapple tea, but it's actually really good. It tastes like if you added pineapple juice to green tea. YMMV, but I prefer it as an iced tea rather than hot.

  • Pu-erh Chorange

    

The smell's a little off-putting, but the taste makes up for it. It's like a Terry's chocolate orange dissolved in tea.

  • Almond

    

It's really finicky to steep. I wouldn't do any more than 2-3 minutes or it gets way too bitter to drink. My least favorite of the nutty teas.

  • Honeybush Blueberry Pancake

    

It's a nice combination of blueberry and maple. Very breakfasty. If I want to have it with caffeine, I'll mix in some Ceylon with it, since that works pretty well.

  • Libra

    

Might not be a Libra but I still enjoy this. It reminds me a lot of Valentine, just with a bit of a creamy note added to it.

  • Pumpkin Spice

    

Stumbled across this company when my usual Pumpkin Spice wasn't available. It's...okay, but the lack of any actual spices in it means it leaves a lot to be desired.

  • Sagittarius

    

I miiiight be biased, because I am a Sagittarius. Also purple's my favorite color, and raspberry's one of my favorite flavors. I love it.

  • Cream Tea

    

It's main use for me is as a blender tea. Alone it's a little underwhelming, similar to the vanilla. Be careful with it, since it's got a tendency to get really bitter if brewed too long.

  • Vanilla

    

It's useful in a lot of blends, adding a sweet, creamy note to fruity or chocolatey teas. Don't really care much for it on its own though.

  • Chocolate Chip

    

A lot like the chocolate tea, but more chocolatey of course. Chocolate chips'll do that. Given the choice between the two, I'd rather have this one.

  • Chocolate

    

One of the better chocolate teas I've come across. No, it's not going to taste like a piece of chocolate, but it's still a good tea. A little sugar will help enhance the chocolate flavor.

  • Vanilla Oolong

    

Sweet, creamy, and somewhat lighter than the vanilla black. I like to have it as an afternoon tea, when I don't really want one of my stronger morning teas.

  • Chocolate Chai

    

It's an okay tea, but there's just something lacking about it. Maybe it's more spices or a different flavor, since it seems to work better in blends than on its own.

  • Blackberry Sage Oolong

    

Got a sample of this first, and I'm glad I did. It's too much sage for me. The blackberry flavor is there and it's nice, but it's overwhelmed by the powerful herby taste of sage. Blech.

  • Rooibos Peach

    

Adagio's peach flavor is nice, but I can't get past the rooibos base. Guess there's really nothing that'll make me like red rooibos.

  • Strawberry Tea

    

Very sweet and jammy. Doesn't need much in the way of added sweetener, since it can easily stand on its own, and blends well with chocolate and vanilla.

  • Cream

    

Cream needs to be steeped for a shorter time at a lower temperature. 2 to 3 minutes at 190-200 degrees is best. Any longer or hotter than that and it gets unpleasantly bitter. It also makes a nice blender tea, but you have to stick to the same rule or else have a twinge of nasty bitterness.

  • Chocolate Chai Pu Erh

    

I tried this when it was new and didn't care for the off-putting smell. I could only describe it as smelling like urine. The taste was alright, but that smell was more than I could put up with.

  • Cinnamon

I like using this to add a bit of cinnamon flavor to blends. Fiery Cinnamon Spice is too strong for that; it tends to overpower other teas with its candylike taste. This doesn't.

  • STRAWBERRY & KIWI

I tend to like greens iced rather than hot, and this is a nice, summery iced tea. Both fruit flavors are present, and pretty tasty.

  • PEPPERMINT AND LEMON

Tried this once when I was sick and never again. It's like Vicks VapoRub in tea form. Peppermint and lemon really don't work well together at all.

  • Pomegranate Delight

Tried this one and found it a little weak when compared to the Mixed Berry or Blackcurrant teas. It's nice, just not strong enough.

  • Blackcurrant Breeze

Another early favorite of mine. Either this or the Four Red Fruits (now Mixed Berry) were my go-to teas back when I was a kid.

Even though I've largely moved on to better-quality teas, I still keep coming back to this. It was my go-to tea back from when I was a teenager and drinking it with a horrific amount of sugar. It's still good.

  • Pumpkin Spice Chai

It's a decent supermarket pumpkin chai, okay for when I don't have anything better on hand. Really needs milk and sugar to be at its best.

  • Coconut

I love coconut. This was one of the first Adagio teas I tried, and it's still one of my favorites. It's good hot, cold, blended with other teas, whatever you like.

  • White Pear

I understand that white teas are delicate, but this was a little too delicate for me. Needs more pear flavor.

  • Tiger Eye

Needs sweetener to really bring the caramel and chocolate flavors out. With sugar it reminds me of one of those soft caramels with chocolate cream filling.

  • Caramel

Good caramel teas are hard to come by, and happily, this is one of them. It's nice on its own, but it really shines as a blending tea.

  • Pumpkin Spice

Not my favorite. Too clovey, maybe? It's just so overpoweringly spicy as to be off-putting, and it just contaminates my tins. Can't get the smell out no matter how hard I try.

  • Capricorn

I'm a Sagittarius, and while I do like the Sagittarius tea, I just can't say no to coconut. This has a nice, light coconut and vanilla flavor. Maybe not my first cup of the day, but still a daily cup for me.
