Love this tea, the sweet and nutty flavor is sure to be a favorite. I enjoy it alone or with a bit of cream. The taste of it is also perfect for blending with other teas.

This is one of my favorites. Great toasted nut taste and taste great with milk and sweetener!

This is my favorite nutty tea! It smells and tastes just like roasted chestnuts. It's good mixed with other teas too.

The dry tea had an aroma slightly nutty but mostly black tea. 2 min @ 160. I've never had chestnut to be able to compare the flavor. I could taste something, but not any nut that I'm familiar with. No bitterness, just a mild black tea flavor.

A great, all natural chestnut flavor to this black tea, I actually got a dry mouth similar to eating nuts, it was actually very nice.

This is a nice winter tea. I prefer to blend it with other ingredients and find it needs something to sweeten it and that it's a little basic on it's own, but could make a good blend with other ingredients.

I am so glad you can get this tea year round!! This tea taste exactly how it smells-like toasted chestnuts! The black tea base is not bitter and the flavor really comes out with a splash of milk!

This tea is absolutely AMAZING! It’s got a bold, warm, nutty flavor that is to die for. It’s become my new favorite tea!!!!!

Really good flavor and a great tea for the evening to relax and read a good book with.

My favorite of Adagio's nutty teas. It's warm and toasty, and has almost a maple syrup note to it. I know it's technically a 'holiday' tea, but I'll drink it year-round.

This tea is AMAZING! I saw many great reviews on Adagio’s website, which prompted me to order a sample. I was a bit skeptical that I would like a chestnut tea but it was absolutely delicious! It totally surprised me. I just ordered 2 pounds of it to keep myself stocked up through these cold winter months….

I'm not a huge chestnut fan, but this tea is better than I anticipated. It can run bitter, so consider sugar or at least steeping mindfully to prevent astringency. The chestnuts notes infused an otherwise full-bodied black tea with subtle, toasted, nutty notes indicative of campfires or the hearth of home. Quite dry on the aftertaste, it's a great choice for awakening nostalgic memories during the wintertime.

I tasted notes of chocolate while hot and coffee as it cooled. I did steep at 195 F x 3 min to avoid bitterness. Sweetener and cream helped.

Though the scent is a bit better than the taste, I still really enjoyed this one. Has a defined nutty taste that fits so well during the holidays. Be careful not to oversteep though.

This is my favorite black tea from Adagio. Lovely aroma and flavor! Good hot or iced. I brew 200F, 3 minutes.

This is a delicious cup of tea, black tea flavored with something wonderful that is supposed to be chestnuts. Whatever it is, it is phenomenal, and I agree with other reviewers that it has a touch of maple flavor. I use honey to bring out the flavors and steeped at 200 degrees for 3 minutes.

Nutty smooth black tea - I'm not a huge chestnut eater so not sure how close it is to chestnut but it's tasty.

This was a very interesting tea. I added cream and sugar but it seemed like it would have shined better in a blend. I would try this one again.

I tried this tea in the Adagio Christmas sampler and I love it for the colder months. It is sweet and has a very warm taste. Fantastic for the Holiday season.

A great nut-flavored tea that tastes as good as it smells! I steep at lower temp (200°F) to avoid bitterness, and add a tiny bit of maple syrup. So good.

This delightful chestnut flavored tea has a smooth flavor and rich mouthfeel. Essential oils are used in place of nuts to provide a realistic flavor without the worry of nut allergy complications. Delicious and worth keeping in stock.

This one tasted weird to me. I smelled like Indian spices in the bag, and had a strange artificial nut flavor that I just did not like. Sorry, this one was two pinkies down for me!

I really like the chestnut flavour of this tea, which comes through very well, and it is ideal around Christmas, though sadly you can't buy it on its own on the UK Adagio site.

A winter favorite of mine! A warm and comforting nutty flavor, which I find best unsweetened.

It's all warm and nutty. Some got in my beard and I had nut all over my face.

This was very pleasant. A cozy, warm nutty tea. Add cream and a bit of sugar makes for a nice drink.

Delicious! Rich ant nutty and warm, with just a hint of a smell of the bitter chestnut skins. My new favorite tea for winter!

Excellent flavor, especially if you're looking for a new fall tea. I enjoyed my first tasting black, but I suspect it would also be lovely with a spot of cream and sugar for dessert.

One of my favourites! It's nutty and has a very malted flavour to it which makes it very comforting. Amazing on it's own

This was a delicious tea, I really enjoyed it. It has a pleasantly nutty, autumn-y flavor.

This has a hint of natural sweetness and a nutty, toasty flavor that blends well with the strong black tea. To keep it from getting too bitter, I steep 3 min @ 195F.

Very solid tea. The chestnut flavor is mild but it blends so nicely with the black tea.

Great!! My favorite winter tea that I tried. I could (and probably will) drink through several ounces of this.

With some milk and sugar, this had an amazing taste of roasted chestnut. A little dry, but wonderfully festive and tasty.

I did not like this one on its own merits. It smelled, and tasted, weird- kind of like dirt. It did get better with cherry whiskey added.

The tea smells and tastes lovely! This tea's flavor is rich, warm and nutter! I've never had a real chestnut, but this is immediately recognizable as the seasonal flavor that it is. I added a bit of sugar and [almond]milk and really enjoyed this cozy treat!
CommuniTea sample. Steeped 195F 3.5min. 2nd steep 200F 4min (the flavor was there, but noticeably weaker).

Wonderful, earthy tea. Not bitter at all, and would be wonderful as a base to a blend with other flavors, but is great all by itself.

Not sure what chestnuts are supposed to taste like but this is a good tea to have around for the fall and winter. Good cup to sip while watching Christmas movies by the fire.

To be fair, I want to say upfront that I typically don't enjoy nut flavoring in my tea. I brewed at a lower temp to avoid bitterness, but it still tasted bitter to me. I am inclined to blame the chestnut flavor. If I try to ignore my personal preferences, I can say this is probably quite enjoyable for people who don't have the same aversion.

Definitely an excellent coffee replacement! My coffee-loving husband gives it his seal of approval. I've never been much of coffee fan but this is much better.
-
Max Sugerman
It tastes a little artificial to me. The hazenut flavoring reminds me of almond extract
-
Michael Jacobson
black tea taste with a pinch of what can only be described as chestnut extract. Not my cup of tea, but I see how some people may like it.

Huge fan of their chestnut. Nutty in flavor, but not too much. Blends incredibly well also.
-

I wasn't so sure about this, but I actually really enjoyed it. It's very nutty as you would except, and it makes for a nice tea during the Christmas season.

I thought, I’m not sure about a chestnut tea. Then I had a sip. And then a cup. And the rest is history. This is delicious. Amazing for a fall or winter day, or any day really. Just try it already!
-
Samantha Ball
Yes! Everyone in my family loves this tea. I gave it as Christmas presents one year too and got rave reviews from my friends.
-
Mary Peach
I wanted to like this tea more than I did. I think the smell of the chestnut was just too strong for my taste. Honey helped a little, but for me it was just a bit overpowering.

Chestnut tea is what really got me hooked on Adagio. It is just sweet enough, with a rich flavor that appeals to me even though I am more often a coffee drinker. This is a perfect tea for a cool evening. I can’t recommend it enough!

Perfect for a cool evening by the fire. I'm not a huge flavored tea drinker, but this one was particularly enjoyable. Add a little milk and sugar (or honey) or enjoy it plain, either way it's quite a nice treat.

Brittany Halper
This is by far the best tea I have ever tasted. Perfect for the holidays and winter. Just the smell alone is intoxicating.
-

I actually really like this one cold with milk, but it's good any way you make it. It's got a surprisingly good amount of flavor, especially considering the simple ingredients.

This is another favorite of mine from Adagio. This makes such a wonderful cup of tea, being both deliciously fragrant, as well as slightly sweet. This would be a great option for coffee drinkers.
