Christine Jolly
I am a pediatrician and mother of 3 girls. My oldest enjoys tea with me when she comes home to visit. Sadly my youngest is allergic so we don't risk it. I prefer herbal teas and almost anything iced.

-
Decaf Cream
This tastes better in a blend to smooth out other strong flavors than it does alone.
-
Decaf Chocolate Truffle
This decaf version of chocolate truffle seems to be less sweet than the original and can have some bitterness; be sure not to over steep in time or temperature then go ahead and add a sweetener and cream for full drinking pleasure. (190 F x 2.5 min)
-
Rooibos Orange
This provides a caffeine free, orange-flavored delight that blends well and can be enjoyed anytime.
-
Libra
This blend of chocolate, strawberries and cream flavors make a decadent guilt-free dessert tea.
-
White Blueberry
This is a lovely white tea with moderate blueberry flavor. Consider using the blueberry honey from Adagio to bring out the blueberry flavor.
-
Summer Night
This brews to a light yellow color. It has a creamsicle aroma and the mint was only appreciated on the nose but not tasted. This is better drank as an iced tea than hot.
-
Jasmine Chun Hao
I steeped using my green tea setting on the VelociTEA x 3 min. It seemed a bit grassy while hot. As it cooled the floral notes were more evident. I am not a big fan of green teas nor floral teas generally. Regardless,
I preferred this green tea after it had cooled to room temp.
-
Tiger Eye
This is a delicious blend of caramel, chocolate and vanilla flavors. Add a little sweetener and you have yourself a dessert tea!
-
Double Ginger
This is a nice spicy tea with all the zings you could want. The citrus is a nice flavor to balance the ginger.
-
GOLDEN MONKEY
When I steeped using a smaller amount of water (only 8 oz) for my CommuniTEA packet that was 195 F x 3 min, I found I was able to taste pleasant notes of cocoa.
-
Toasted Mate
This both smelled and tasted like old coffee that you would find in a gas station. No thanks.
-
Irish Breakfast
This is a good quality breakfast tea that steeps well multiple times. It also blends well.
-
White Eternal Spring
This is a light tea that is sweet and mixes well with white peony for blends. I would use less water to boost the flavor.
-
Coconut Grove Pouchong
It surprised me how well I enjoyed this tea given that I don't usually like coconut. Nice tea for summer.
-
Pomegranate Green
I am generally not a big fan of green teas because too often they taste like grass. This one did not. There wasn't much flavor in my portion packet, adding a sweetener did not help.
-
White Grapefruit
While originally I was not a fan of the grapefruit flavor I found when I steeped using less water, added a sweetener, and allowed it to cool, it was a pleasant cup of white tea.
-
Cupid’s Cup
I love this tea hot but even more so iced. It also tastes great mixed with lemonade.
-
Formosa Oolong
I steeped using 195 F water x 4 min, twice. This has a strong mineral taste and I would not recommend adding cream. I tried that and had to dump it down the drain (No, the cream had not gone bad. I used it with other teas the same day.)
-
Raja Oolong Chai
This is one of my favorite Adagio chai teas. It is very cinnamon forward but not bitter because it is an oolong as a base. I use 195 F water x 5 min and add 1/2 tsp honey and 1 tsp heavy cream.
-
Pomegranate Grove
This has hibiscus and rose, both of which have overpowered the other flavors.
-
Decaf Hazelnut Cinnamon Creme
The hazelnut was stronger than the cinnamon and creme flavors. Adding a sweetener only minimally helped bring out those flavors.
-
Strawberry Banana Split
This tastes best iced. I like to hot brew it using 212 F water x 5 min then pour over ice. It has a strong strawberry banana when made that way.
-
Cinnamon
This is a more mild black tea with cinnamon flavor compared to Adagio's Fiery Cinnamon spice. The whipped cinnamon honey tastes delicious with it.
-
Honeybush Hazelnut
This is a wonderful caffeine free tisane that can easily be a dessert any time of the day.
-
Honeybush Chocolate
While the aroma of chocolate is strong the flavor was less intense. Sweetener does help bring out the chocolate though. This works well in a blend
-
Pumpkin Spice
This has all the spices you would find in a pumpkin pie. Don't expect actual pumpkin though. I thought it was like fall in a cup.
-
White Strawberry
What a delightful blend of flavors! The strawberry makes it sweet naturally so need to add additional sweetener.
-
Chestnut
I tasted notes of chocolate while hot and coffee as it cooled. I did steep at 195 F x 3 min to avoid bitterness. Sweetener and cream helped.
-
Rooibos Vanilla
It was difficult to taste the vanilla flavoring, even with the honey meant for rooibos tea. I think this might work as a supporting tea in a blend though.
-
Scorpio
This was a lovely tea. I tasted caramel notes in addition to the chocolate. I steeped using 195 F water x 5 min and added monk fruit sweetener, delicious!
-
Hazelnut
For those who love hazelnut this must be a delightful tea. For me that is not my favorite but not the worst either. I steeped using 195 F water x 3 min and added monk fruit sweetener which made it now a nice desert tea.
-
Mocha Nut Mate
I loved the delicious aroma of chocolate and hazelnut with the caffeine I need.
-
Pu-erh Spice
While the spice is nice, I am not a fan of most pu-erh teas and this is no different. I did do a 15 sec rinse but it did not help.
-
Earl Grey Bella Luna
I do not like EG teas and I am not a fan of coconut typically, so this was a no go for me.
-
Rooibos Caramel
I love red rooibos so no surprise I love this one. The flavoring is good as a stand alone tea but also mixes well with others as well.
-
Traditional Ti Kuan Yin
Delicious! There was no grassiness and this is able to be steeped multiple times.
-
Wuyi Ensemble
This had a distinct mineral taste. I was able to re-steep multiple times. 195 F x 3 then 4 min.
-
DECAF BLACKBERRY SAGE BLACK TEA BAGS
I have tried this tea both hot and cold brewed. I prefer the cold brew method as there is no bitterness. The taste of blackberry and sage is a surprisingly good combination. A little bit of your favorite sweetener really brings out the blackberry flavor. I like the fact that the tea bags are compostable so there is nothing to end up in the dump.
-
Honeybush Banana Nut
This is like drinking a slice of your favorite banana nut bread. The best part is there are no calories! I highly recommend this tea, you won't regret it.
-
Chocolate Truffle
This is by far my favorite chocolate tea by Adagio. It is decadent and rich with no bitterness at all. Adding a sweetener and cream just takes it to the next level.
-
Mango Green
This mango flavored green tea is mild in both the mango flavor and also the grassiness. Adding monk fruit sweetener helped draw out the mango flavor though. I suspect cold brewing may bring it out even more.
-
Green Rooibos Bonita
I love rooibos so this is a win for me. I drank it hot, steeped at 212 F x 5 min. I expect this would taste cold brewed as well.
-
Black cherry
I don't know what the original tasted like but this version had more rose than cherry in my portion packet. I had to add honey to get the cherry flavor.
-
Melonberry Green
I usually don't like green teas but this was fruity and improved with a sweetener and as it cooled.
-
Green Rooibos Citron
I found the best way to drink this is iced after making it hot. I added some orange peels and lemon peels from Selafina to really amp up the citrus.
-
Citron Green
I enjoyed the citrus flavor more than the green tea itself. This is a one and done for me. The flavoring is gone after the first steep and then there is just grassiness.
-
Thai Tea
I don't normally like coconut but this was perfectly balanced and not overwhelming. No sunscreen vibes here! I steeped at 195F x 5 min and added 1 tsp of honey and 1/2 tsp of whipping cream. Delicious!
-
Dewy Cherry
This is a tart tea with strong cherry flavoring. I prefer to make this hot, add a sweetener (to help it dissolve) and then pour over ice. You can also cold brew in the fridge, either way drinking this cold is the way to go.
-
Key Lime Herbal
I have tried this both hot and cold brewed and prefer hot (which surprised me). It does taste like key lime pie but it's not green so just close your eyes as you sip and pretend!
-
Throat Therapy
If you like licorice and anise this is the tea for you! It seems a bit "medicinal" so it is not my favorite but I think it is still good. I prefer peppermint and ginger tea for a sore throat.
-
Harvest Apple Spice
My tin had quite a bit of cinnamon aroma and flavor. It works well for a fall crisp day. Probably not your tea though if you are not a fan of rooibos.
-
Lychee Rose Green
I liked this tea better than I remembered. It has a light fruit flavor and no grassiness. I steeped using 180 F water x 2 min and added ~ 1/4 tsp monk fruit
-
Chocolate Chai
This is not as chocolatey as I had hoped. The flavoring is just a bit off. Sometimes it pairs well but not always. Definitely needs to be steeped at a lower temp for a shorter time. I use 195 F x 2 min 30 sec.
