This is a nice lapsang souchong, which is great if you go into it knowing what to expect. Lapsang souchong is extremely smoky and isn't for everyone, but I enjoy it. It will smell like a campfire or like someone grilling. This one claims to also have notes of caramel and vanilla, though I can barely taste any of that. Nonetheless, I'm sure this would be great with something else to sweeten it a bit, perhaps honey or maple syrup.

Mix this with a plain earl grey and the flavor pops. Wonderful change with slight smokiness and very light tones of vanilla and caramel (but don't notice the caramel too much)

It smells like barbecue sauce. That's what I thought when I opened the tin. Between the lapsang tea and the bourbon flavoring it seems like something I'd rather marinate meat in than drink.
Taste-wise it's not bad. Smoky, with a slight boozy edge to it. Also yeah, something that still reminds me of barbecue sauce. Honestly, I think I'll be using the rest of my tin in marinades rather than drinking it.
