white chai
by adagio teas
(31 reviews)White tea, chai spices with lemongrass, coconut, fruit pieces and peppercorn combine for a light bodied zesty cup. Light yellow with complex notes of lemongrass, fruit and spice that dance on the palate. A fiery kick of the peppercorn lingers in the soft sweetness of the fruit. Steep at 195°F for 3 minutes

I usually do not like white teas, but this one is the exception to the rule. Nice mild flavor, spices lingering but not overpowering. I will add this one to my favorites

The spice aroma is nice from the dry tea, not too clovey. Lots of ingredients here, mostly lemongrass. 3 min @ 165. A very mild tasting chai which goes well with the delicate white tea. I'd choose this for a more mellow chai experience. Cheers.

This is a 5 star tea, the mild white gives way for all the wonderful chai spices included without making it too strong, I love sipping this one

I'm not usually that fond of white teas because I prefer a stronger taste, but I have found I like white tea chais. The spice makes all the difference! This one is lovely hot or cold. The aroma is wonderful as well!

Very mild chai to match a white tea. Nice flavor. I could drink several cups of this one.

Delicious chai and fruit flavored tea that I brewed with rock sugar as I like my chais. I steeped at 195 degrees for 3 minutes.

This was yummy, but I felt like the taste could have been a bit stronger. There is just enough hints of spice to still give it that "chai" taste, but it's not as strong as some of Adagio's other chais. Still enjoyable enough that I would drink it again, though.

A white tea base just can't hold up to heavy spices (in my opinion). It tasted like spicy lemongrass water.

I loved this blend! I have never typically enjoyed white tea but I certainly love chais and spiced blend. I loved the addition of the pink peppercorn, it not only tastes great added in but makes the blend aesthetically pleasing to look at.

It pretty much tastes like a light chai which is enjoyable on the days you want to relax and have something subtle but if your'e not into light on the flavor teas than I would not recommend this one.

I love white teas and chai, this one was nicely spiced, not heavy on the peppercorn

Although the aroma of the dry tea is a strong cardamon and clove, those flavors don't coe through at all. This is a lovely, mild chai that isn't overshadowed by the flavor of the tea itself. I didn't taste any lemongrass or coconut. A second steep was also good.

So pleasantly surprised with this one! Was hesitant with the coconut and pineapple (I generally don't like those flavors), but I LOVE chai, so I want to try all of ones in the adagio catalog. In the bag, this smells unpleasant, like astringent. But once brewed, it has a mild spicy smell. This is delicious, refreshing, the spices blend well together. i also always drink chai with milk and honey and I thought this one did not need it. I tasted no coconut nor pineapple (which I was happy about) just white tea, slightly sweet, and spices.

Personal opinion is that white tea isn’t a strong enough base to support a chai offering. If you are huge fan of white it may be a contender for you.

Chai teas are ironically not my cup of tea but i found this one to be good. A first for sure.

This is a fantastic drink and the only chai I like. I did brew for five minutes to bring out all the flavors. It is a lovely cup of cinnamon goodness.

This is my go to Adagio tea. I love the complex but smooth flavors. The pepper corns give it just enough kick.

Didn't love this, the white tea wasn't strong enough to support the spices here, and I felt like steeping it longer would just make everything bitter. If you want a mild chai to drink black, this might be a good contender though.

This is a great chai with wonderful ginger notes. It’s not my favorite tea because I don’t really like chai but objectively speaking it puts an interesting spin on a familiar concept.

I am definitely starting to get used to chai. I'm still not used to strong chai's so I do appreciate this lighter take on it. I'm not a fan of peppercorn though (so I pluck them out), but I'm loving the warm spice.

This was spicier than I was expecting. I think the white tea made me think it would be more tame. I really enjoyed the spice and I think I need to explore white teas with chai spice a little more.

Normally, I take my chai with cream and sugar. Being white tea based, I don't need any milk at all, and only a little sugar for that wonderful taste! Easily a new member of the favorites.

Loved this blend of tea, spices and fruit. Everything is nicely balanced for a pale cup of sweet, spicy, and fruity flavors. Very nice!

A weak chai. The white tea is too weak to support the spice flavors, most notably the peppercorn, giving the impression that I simply didn't steep my tea long enough. I'll pass on more.

This is the tea the got me hooked on Adagio. White tea with enough spice and pepper notes to keep it different from other black chai teas.

Spicy and refreshing. A warming cup of tea, it somehow blends lightness and warmth together!

In my opinion, one of the best chais on the site. Tastes similar to a teavana blend but better. I highly recommend.
