cocomint green
by adagio teas
(35 reviews)Like wine and cheese, burgers and fries; chocolate and mint is a famous partnership in the world of food. We bring that popular flavor combination here, blended with green tea leaves to create a delicious, lip-smacking treat. Fresh and cool, with a smooth, sweet minty flavor and whisps of chocolate. Just like a stick of zesty peppermint bark chocolate. Bon appetit! Steep at 180°F for 2-3 minutes

Maybe it needed to brew longer than suggested but it seemed like just a mild green tea.

This is a very delicate and mild flavored green tea blend. I can taste the chocolate and mint just so slightly but with sweetener-honey and it's perfect afternoon or dinnertime.

This is more of a minty green tea. I wish there was more chocolate flavor, but it's still delicious. I brewed this at 160F for 2 minutes.

I like green tea and I love York peppermint patties so I was looking forward to trying this. The packet smelled of chocolate and mint. 3 min @ 160 and the chocolate was gone, minty green tea aroma. The taste was overwhelming bitter, minty, astringent green tea, no chocolate or sweetness. It was too unpleasant to try a second sip and I poured it out. I may try it again after the shortest amount of time and see how it goes.

I'm just not big on green teas. They are too light for me. But I have learned that they are awesome to blend with! I love mixing this tea in with black or oolong teas to soften the brew -- especially yummy when mixed with Adagio's Thai Tea to add a bit of mint/chocolate essense to the fruit/coconut flavors. Yum! :)

This is a great blend of green tea, mint, and chocolate. I would have liked a little more chocolate but it was still good. I steeped at 175 degrees for 3 minutes and added rock sugar.

A nice minty tea with hints of chocolate. I appreciate that it wasn't overwhelmingly minty like some green mint teas can be. Is nice iced with a little sweetener.

This is a great minty chocolate tea that is fairly mild because of the green tea. I really enjoyed this one!

Chocolate, mint, and the antioxidants of green tea--what's not to love? The green tea and chocolate balanced the peppermint (which is too strong for me as a single ingredient tea). No grassiness detected. (180°F x 3 min)

Good flavors! I'd prefer black for this tea, would go better with the flavors. Good balance of choco and peppermint. Nice aftertaste. Steeped it for longer than recommended, but still wish it was stronger.

Yum! This is very good, like a guilt-free dessert. I love chocolate tea and green tea, so this is the best of both worlds! At 1 tsp/cup it was a little weak, so next time I will double the amount.

I'm a huge fan of anything chocolate mint flavoured. If you like andes mints, you'll likely like this. It's weirdly light and refreshing while still carrying some chocolate flavour. Awesome tea if you want the chocolate mint flavoured without the "heavy" black tea flavour getting in the way

I tried this as a hot tea, and the chocolate flavor was more pronounced than I expected. I'm curious to see if the mint is stronger when I try it chilled.

Absolutely delicious! This is one of my favorites. I love green tea and the addition of the cocoa and mint flavors make it taste like a dessert.

This tea reminded me of a mild peppermint patty. I was craving a hot cocoa and decided to give this a try. The aroma and flavors were perfect.

This was nice, but not nearly as nice as the cocomint rooibos that is its counterpart. I feel like the green flavor doesn't compliment it nearly as well.

This is really smooth and light enough that I can just keep drinking it. I don't usually like chocolate-flavored teas, but this was subtle enough that it didn't bother me. It actually played really well with all of flavors and I really enjoyed this one.

Thin mints and York patties come to mind while drinking this. The smooth mint plays well with chocolate, but I think green tea wasn't the best base.

A good mint tea. However, the chocolate is too subtle for my tastes. It does smell very strongly of mint chocolate, but the taste just doesn't follow.

When I cracked open my CommuniTea packet the mint was ready and rearing to go! It smelled so good! I got one lil cocoa nib, so I added a couple more from my own stash - didn't really bring a noticeable flavor to the party though, so I probably could've just done without.
When hot the green tea actually managed to overpower the peppermint with a straw-like flavor. I let it cool down some and the peppermint made itself know, though it couldn't completely cover the flavor of the green tea. I couldn't taste any "coco" at all.
I steeped it a second time and the straw-flavor was pretty much gone. Leaving me with a light, minty tea. Still no coco, but not bad.
I did add sugar to both steeps, hoping to help the mint and coco (the laster of which refused to show).
In the end, I think I'll stick to my preferred Rooibos Cocomint instead.
1st steep: 180F 3min .. 2nd steep: 190F 3min

The green tea in this has a fairly strong vegetal/savory flavor. It is a bit too strong for the mint and chocolate flavors. The mint is delicious. The chocolate tastes a little off or artificial.

This tea just doesn’t do it for me. Maybe if the chocolate was subtler and the base was black tea instead of green this might work better, but as it stands this one won’t be a repeat performance for me.

I didn’t think I would like cocoa flavor in my tea but the flavor works very well here with the mint. Tastes like an Andes mint.

A lot of coconut in this, the green tea seems to be sencha but its really over powered by the coconut flavor

This tea smells just like an Andes mint before brewed. Once brewed, the flavor is light, but highly refreshing with the combination of chocolate and mint. The chocolate flavor resembles a smoother chocolate, while the mint is also light but there's just the right amount of it to make it feel like you're drinking a tea with chocolate and mint. It almost sort of reminds me of Teavana's white chocolate peppermint. The green tea blends well, and you almost don't even notice it, but I believe that's why the flavor ends up being lighter and smoother. I prefer this one over the rooibos cocomint. A great tea for the Christmas season!

SO. GOOD. Got this on a whim as a freebie and now it is my go-to tea around the holidays. Just the right amount of sweet and light on the caffeine.

This tea have a nice mint chocolate flavor without the full caffiene off day reindeer fuel. It’s very good

I liked this tea very much. Was skeptical in the beginning but grew to like it

I agree with many others that the mint flavor is stronger than the cocoa flavor, however it's not overpowering. This became one of my favorite adagio teas after the first sip.

One of my favorite blends. Mint is strong enough to balance out the chocolate, and the chocolate adds enough sweetness to make it a nice afternoon treat.

This tea is always nice a refreshing. A little bit sweeter than most mint teas and if you want something a bit different from a normal mint or green mint, try this one.

One of my all time favorites!! It smells and tastes just like a mint chocolate cup, like the best mint chip ice cream. If you like mint and chocolate do yourself a favor and get this!!!
