Rooibos, colloquially known as 'Red Tea' (although not from the actual tea bush), is a naturally caffeine-free herbal plant that grows only in South Africa. A flavorful alternative for those seeking a stimulant free beverage, our Rooibos is fruity, sweet, rounded, mild and smooth with a refreshingly herbal texture. Very forgiving, it will not oversteep and blends well with other flavors such as nuts, herbs and fruits. Steep at 212°F for 5 minutes

The amazing "red tea" - all the rich, robust flavor of black tea though lighter & more earthy & with none of the caffeine. It's delish & perfect!

I usually prefer flavored tisanes, but this doesn't need it. This is actually my first time trying a rooibos on it's own with no flavoring, so I have no comparison to any other company's rooibos, but the smell reminds me exactly of walking into a woodworking class, but with a slight sweetness to it. Perfectly good on it's own - even better with a little honey.

This has the aroma of dried wood. It's amber colored liquid has a vague sense of sweetness. It tastes better cold or iced.

Nice earthy notes. I l ike red rooibos, but I prefer it in blends rather than by itself. Really good with chai spices, or fruit flavors.

Very good tea. Sweet slightly early notes. Like to drink with small dab of cream.

This is the first plain rooibos tea that I have tried, so I can’t compare to other brands. I enjoyed this sweet, woody tasting tea and found that it needed no sweetener. I brewed for 5 minutes at 212 degrees but would try it longer next time as there’s no risk of bitterness with this tea.

I like the flavor of this tea. However, I find to truly enjoy it, I must steep much longer than the 5 recommended minutes

Sweet! I actually ended up preferring it to honeybush, and while the particles were a bit small, going through the strainer, I'd totally drink it again.

A lovely red rooibos with a smooth, sweet taste that is less "woody" than other rooibos I have tasted. Enjoy it with a drop of honey. It is good as a blender with other tea flavors, and also makes a tasty iced tea.

I'm a fan of rooibos and I like the warm, earthiness of Adagio's. It steeps a lovely dark ruby and has a nice mellow taste. I rate it good because I normally like some kind of flavoring in my rooibos, and that makes it GREAT! This is a good, basic tea for those who are caffeine sensitive (like me!). Happy Sipping

I just started drinking rooibos teas, I wasn’t sure I was going to like them at 1st but I ended up enjoying them a lot. I’ve tried several different flavors and mixed them with others. I love them

I'm starting to think I'm not a fan of rooibos or honeybush alone. This is quite similar to Adagios plain Honeybush. It's ok, but just doesn't fit my taste. It has a sweet grassy/alfalfa scent and possibly taste?
Brewed at 212F for 5min

Rooibos tea has never been my favorite but I enjoyed this one, especially with some sugar.

I love rooibos - nutty, woody, sweet. Goes well with cream and sugar, is super versatile in blends, steeps to a beautiful rust color. I like drink it plain, or with sugar, or even brewing it double strength for milk tea. The only down side for me is that, like a lot of tisanes/herbals, it doesn't hold up to multiple steeps.
Steeped 212F 8min

Strong and full, though rooibos always tastes like olives to me. This one is particularly good but does not buck the trend.

Rooibos is literally stomach-turning for me in both smell and taste. I got a packet in my CommuniTEA box and would not have finished the cup, except my kids happen to like it (for some reason.) The aroma is difficult to describe, but in general it's sort of a sweet rancid smell.

I like rooibos mixed with other things, especially fruit, but it's also good on its own. It's a little earthy and little nutty. I recommend using a bag for rooibos blends.

Tastes like wood. Not horrible, but not for me. I love rooibos blends, but not on its own. Perhaps with enough sweetener it would work.

Very woody taste that's a good base for caffeine free blends, and pretty good on its own. It's mellow and simple, which is good for a relaxing night.

This was my first time having raw roobis. This has a moderate sweet undertone and is very sweet. Probably not an everyday drinker, but I like this tea

Very nice, naturally sweet caffeine free cup. Soft, full mouthfeel and very satisfying.

This is just one of those teas I cannot tolerate. It is too medicinal for my taste no matter how I try to spruce it up.

As another reviewer stated "Rooibos is almost an acquired taste..." - very true, and although some flavored rooibos teas are tasty, I've certainly not acquired a taste for straight rooibus.

Not quite as sweet as honeybush. This tea from Adagio is great quality and perfect for sip before bedtime.

This is a nice quality rooibos that has a woodsy/earthy taste with a bit of natural sweetness. Similar to black tea, but without any of the bitterness or astringency. I really like adding just a splash of cream to it for a comforting caffeine-free bedtime tea.

A wonderful example of a standard rooibos tea. Delicious with a little milk and sugar

Great simple rooibos. One of the best I've found - sweet but not cloying, warm and clean flavor.

I love the bright color of this tea, even though the smell is a bit like medicine. Milk and a little honey really help make this tea its best.

This is a hard tea to mess up. It’s very forgiving for newbie. It’s not the strongest flavor, but it’s good for a quiet afternoon reading.

I've tried a bunch of rooibos and have tried to find cheaper alternatives, but this one is truly the best and worth it
