Coconut Pouchong
This is a really enjoyable light oolong with a buttery sweet taste and light body with no bitterness. It has nutty hints of natural coconut. Would definitely order more
-
Jasmine Chun Hao
This is a good introduction to jasmine teas if you're wanting to try out floral teas. It definitely has a strong jasmine scent and taste, but it's overwhelmingly perfumey. The green tea base is toasty and lightly sweet, nice for an afternoon tea when I want to switch it up.
-
Golden Flower
I'm usually not a fan of floral teas, but this is light enough that I enjoy it. It has a creamy and slightly sweet vegetal oolong base, with light floral notes that are stronger in the aroma than the taste. Very enjoyable.
-
Passionfruit Tango
This has a really strong and bright lemongrass and hibiscus/cranberry flavor. It's great with a little bit of sugar added, but is also nice just on its own. Preferred this one brewed hot and then chilled, rather that cold brewed as that wasn't as strong or smooth.
-
White Pear
This is a lovely juicy pear flavor that complements the delicate sweet melon flavors of the white tea really nicely. Soft and subtle, and works well with western style brewing or multiple infusions in a gongfu session.
-
Green Rooibos Bonita
Really nice sweet orange and lightly floral aroma, with a naturally sweet taste from the rooibos. This is really good both hot and cold brewed, and will be a staple for the hot summer months.
-
Earl Grey Bella Luna
This has a very strong and bright bergamot flavor, with a more subtle undertone of coconut and sweet cream to balance it out. Great any time of the day.
-
Lychee Rose Green
This has an amazing scent, like tropical fruit and green grapes. The fruit flavor isn't very strong once brewed though, and it mainly tastes like a lightly fruity floral green tea. However it is really nice cold brewed and iced, very light and refreshing during the summer months.
-
Rooibos Caramel
Very smooth and sweet. It definitely has a strong and delicious caramel flavor. It's great on its own or mixed into other blends.
-
Honeybush Blueberry Pancake
This really does taste like a blueberry pancake, especially if you add a bit of maple syrup and even a splash of milk. So good any time of the day, without all the extra calories.
-
Earl Grey Moonlight
This is such a nice early grey. The vanilla cream flavors really balance and mellow out the intense bergamot nicely. It also blends nicely with some of the berry flavored or other citrus black teas.
-
Assam Melody
I love this as a strong malty breakfast tea. Stands up to cream and is a really comforting cup to start the day.
-
Dragon Fruit Dream
This tastes mainly like pineapple and hibiscus to me, but has a natural sweetness so that I don't feel like I need to add any extra sweetener. Very light and refreshing. It's great iced for the summer time.
-
Ceylon Sonata
Nice simple black tea, very little bitterness or astringency. It holds up pretty well to cream and sugar, and pairs nicely with pastries. A pantry staple.
-
Rooibos Almond
This has a super strong, almost overpowering almond marzipan scent and flavor. I usually have to tone it down by blending with other flavors, but it's good if you want something heavily almond flavored.
-
Honeybush Banana Nut
This smells exactly like a fresh basked banana but muffin. The flavor is light, but definitely has notes of sweet banana bread. So good, will always have a bag on hand.
-
Berry Creme Compote
This is so so good, either hot or iced. It has a smooth sweet cream base that complements the fruity berry and hibiscus flavors perfectly. It's good on it's own, but perfection with a teaspoon of sugar added.
-
Peach Bellini
This smells amazing in the package but the flavor is very light. It's nice for a very light and refreshing iced tea when it's hot out, but I wish the peach flavor was a bit stronger.
-
Honeybush Hazelnut
This was one of my favorite out of the flavored honeybush teas. It's lightly sweet and toasty with the warm nutty hazelnut flavor. It's also pretty good blended with the chocolate honeybush, and nice with a splash of milk for a bedtime treat.
-
Rooibos Cinnamon Apple
This has a light spiced apple cider aroma, but the flavor is just very weak. It mostly just tastes like rooibos with a bit of cinnamon.
-
Fujian Rain
At first it was difficult to brew this correctly, but I found that using a high leaf to water ratio at around 180F brings out the smooth sweetness underlying an almost smoky rock/mineral flavor. It has a hint of spiced apricots in the aroma, and the smell of wet rocks after it rains. Really interesting tea.
-
Honeybush Chocolate
This smells exactly like chocolate, but unfortunately the flavor is pretty weak. It tastes mostly like honeybush with a hint of cocoa, but it's okay mixed into other blends to add a bit more depth.
-
Blackberry
This tea definitely has a strong blackberry flavor and scent, but can get too bitter really quickly so it's not very forgiving with the steeping time. It's nice with some sugar, or even blended with the Adagio vanilla and/or cream flavored black teas to round out the flavor. My favorite way to make it was cold brewed, it made it much smoother and pulled out some of the natural sweetness.
-
White Peach
I've received this as a sample with my order a few times now, and each time I try it at different temperatures and steep time but it always ends up too bitter. It smells really nice in the package, but the peach flavor is very faint and I mostly just get bitter without any of the nuanced flavors of plain white peony.
-
Yunnan Jig
This is a fantastic smooth and rich black tea, no bitterness whatsoever. It's perfection with a splash of cream, and maybe a little sugar when I want to be indulgent. It's a really good complement to sweet pastries or dessert as well.
-
Fujian Orchid
This one is difficult to get right - if steeped a couple seconds too long it gets very bitter and a couple seconds too short and it is just slightly flowery hot water. It's definitely very floral and light, but was a bit too one-note for an oolong for me.
-
Pu-erh Hazelberry
This tea is more of an acquired taste for me, but interesting to try out if you want to get into pu'er. It's very smooth with no bitterness, and has a bright berry cream flavor on top of the earthy musty pu'er taste. It almost tastes like warm strawberry milk if you add some cream to it.
-
Fujian Baroque
This tea has a natural sweetness and is very smooth with little to no bitterness and a light body. I enjoy it without adding any milk or sugar, but it's also nice lightly sweetened. It smells sweet and leafy with a hint of honey in the aroma, with some notes of dark chocolate and the mineral taste.
-
Wild Strawberry
This tea is amazing, it smells like strawberry candy and has a nice tart yet lightly sweet flavor to it. I do think adding just a bit of sugar really enhances it, but I love it on its own too and either hot or iced.
-
Key Lime Herbal
This has a lovely undertone of sweet vanilla, that when mixed with the lime really is reminiscent of key lime pie. It's especially good iced, I just wish the lime flavor was a little stronger.
-
Honeybush
This is a nice quality honeybush that has that same earthy/woodsy flavor as rooibos but is a touch more sweet with a honey note in the aroma. It's great when you just want something simple and caffeine-free.
-
Honeybush Vanilla
This smells delicious in the bag, like sweet vanilla cake or cookies. The vanilla flavor once brewed isn't as strong as it could be, but I do really like mixing this one with other flavors or having it on it's own with a bit of cream and brown sugar.
-
Rooibos Lemon Cloud
I do enjoy this hot or iced. The rooibos adds a touch of natural sweetness that the vanilla cream flavor brings out even more, and there is a hint of lemon that really does make it taste somewhat like lemon bars or lemon meringue pie. However the lemon flavor just wasn't as strong as I was hoping for, but I still enjoy it.
-
Rooibos Vanilla
This smells like delicious vanilla sugar cookies in the bag, but I found the vanilla flavor to be a little more faint that I had expected once brewed. I primarily like using this to mix into other blends.
-
Watermelon Cooler
This only has a faint watermelon flavor; I think it gets overwhelmed by the hibiscus and rosehips. It is refreshing when it's iced and really nice with a little bit of agave syrup added, so I may buy it again for the summer months but I do wish the watermelon flavor was more present.
-
Turmeric Bliss
This is a really complex tisane with notes of ginger, cinnamon, citrus, an earthy sharp base from the turmeric, and a bit of peppery spice. Not something I drink every day, but always enjoy it when I'm in the mood for a cup of something different.
-
Rooibos
This is a nice quality rooibos that has a woodsy/earthy taste with a bit of natural sweetness. Similar to black tea, but without any of the bitterness or astringency. I really like adding just a splash of cream to it for a comforting caffeine-free bedtime tea.
-
Scottish Breakfast
This is a lovely bold breakfast tea with hints of chocolate and honey. It's super malty and delicious especially with cream and a bit of sugar to bring out those toasted sugar flavors.
-
Cream
I love this tea on its own as a breakfast tea with milk and sugar, or mixed into other blends to add a smooth sweet cream base. Will always have a bag on hand.
-
Mocha Nut Mate
I couldn't really taste any mocha flavor in this; it just has a slightly nutty taste on top of the vegetal/bitter toasted mate flavor. Not a favorite of mine, but if you enjoy mate it may be worth trying out.
-
Raspberry Patch
This is a fantastic raspberry tea, I love it hot or iced. I do add a touch of sweetener to balance out the tartness of the hibiscus. It is so smooth and delicious, and packed with fresh raspberry flavor. Will definitely be ordering more.
-
Maple Creme Oolong
I found that the maple flavor was really light if not non-existent in this, and was overwhelmed by the cloves. It's nice if you want a general spicy tea for cold days that is lighter than a chai, but not sure that I would repurchase because I really didn't get enough maple flavor from it.
-
White Peony
This is a fantastic starter tea to get into white teas. It has a subtle and delicate flavor that is lightly sweet and floral with a hint of honeydew melon. It's a great one to try out different brewing techniques to find out what you like, as different flavors become more pronounced depending on your water temperature and steeping time. A favorite for sure.
-
Coconut
This tea can get bitter and overly astringent if steeped for more than 2-3 minutes, so it can be difficult to get it right. But it does have a really lovely natural coconut flavor that is especially good cold brewed and mixed into an iced latte with some coconut milk.
