white ayurvedic chai
by adagio teas
(26 reviews)For those days when you're feeling a bit adventurous, steep a cup of this exotic, yet subtle twist on classic chai. We've taken the delicate flavor of white tea and blended it with familiar chai flavors and the added zesty notes of lemongrass, coconut and pineapple. Steep this aromatic beauty for a complex cup of fruit and spice that leaves the alluring essence of cinnamon dancing in its wake. Steep at 212°F for 5 minutes

I'm not generally a big fan of white teas as they are just too light for me, but I enjoy this one. I prefer this hot rather than cold-brewed. it is lovely brewed by itself, or adds a nice spicy flavor to black or oolong teas when blended..

I love chai. I love how strong and fully bodied they are. This one is light and delicate...and makes me appreciate chai in a whole new way. Truly amazing.

Nice cup of tea tea with noticeable coconut flavors. Enjoyed. Would drink another cup.

Great and mellow take on a chai tea, the coconut and pineapple added a great flavor and were really present with the mellow white tea

This one doesn't taste like a traditional Chai to (due to the lack of cloves). It does have a lovely cinnamon flavor with a little something else happening too. If I had to described the flavor in just two words, I'd call it "cinnamon water".

A delicate white tea with a light chai flavor. It's smooth and there's no need to add sweetener or cream since it's a light tea and taste.

There's nothing wrong with this one, but I want to like it more than I actually do. It's a perfectly serviceable chai, but not particularly stand out. I was initially excited to get it, but I forget about it most of the time in favor of other teas.

The fruity and coconut flavors do blend well with the potent chai, I was actually quite surprised. Not something I can drink all the time, but it is a unique and interesting tropical tea.

This is a delicate yet spiced white tea. The chai spices are mild enough not to interfere with the taste of the white tea. I steeped at 175 degrees for 3 minutes.

White tea and chai spices don't work in my opinion, the tea is just too light and it tastes mostly like cinnamon water to me.

Not gonna lie- I wasn't in a chai mood today and was already planning my next tea for after this to satisfy my mood, but this cup won me over. I'm a fan of heavy chai flavor with sweetener and cream but this was a delightful change. I steeped at 185⁰ for 7 minutes to compromise between the white tea and herbal elements and the result was perfect. Ginger and cinnamon were prominent without being overpowering on the first sip with mild white tea, lemongrass, and a hint of something in the background that must have been the coconut/pineapple combo coming through on the aftertaste. I sweetened with monk fruit to mellow the spices which brought out the clove and cardamom and made this a well rounded, light chai. I can see how this isn't everyone's cup of tea as far as chai goes, but I found it a wonderful companion for a cooler spring day where you're stuck between seasons and flavor cravings.

Smells amazing and a great cup for when you feel a cold or sore throat coming on!

This tea smelled absolutely lovely when I opened it. I love the flavors in chai, so I was very excited to taste this tea.
I followed the directions to steep this tea for 5 minutes, but after the five minutes, I felt like the spice flavor was too weak, so I put my strainer back in for another 2minutes. After 7 minutes, the flavor of spice was more prominent, but the tea became a little more bitter than I prefer, so I added a dollop of honey.
Overall, I found the tea a little mediocre. It's not bad, but there are certainly better chais out there. There's really nothing that makes it stand out.

I'm not a huge chai person, so I wasn't sure if I was going to like today's tea. Seeing so much cinnamon and black peppercorn on the list made me a bit leery. With that said, I quite enjoyed this! It's not spicy, but has nice notes of cinnamon and a touch of sweetness. I can't pick out individual flavors as noted on the package, but it comes together well.
Brewed at 212F for 5min

A very mellow chai, without bitterness or that astringent feel. I enjoyed this tea with a 1/4 tsp of honey. It was delicious.

This tea is so cozy, I just want to float on a river of it as I bob up and down with the current. The cinnamon plays very well with the ginger and is one chai that I enjoy more than I dislike it!
That being said, I was missing the tropical flavors that really make this blend what it is. I enjoyed the flavors I got but some just weren't present. I can only imagine how good it his tea might have been if app flavors showed up to the party.

Warming, gentle chai. The white tea is balanced with less spices than usual in a chai. Tastes and smells mostly of cinnamon and cloves. Unfortunately the tropical flavors did not come through at all.

I am not a fan of almost all chais and I wish I was since they look so good. However this one was not so harsh and I handled the spice. It wasn’t all cloves or peppercorns. Perhaps it was the dominant taste of cinnamon that changed my mind.

I got it once with my first adagio order, but I don't remember being particularly enthused about it. I do tend to stick to green and black teas as opposed to white teas, so maybe that's why.

Loved the Teavana version. I canât compare since I donât have both but this seems just as good if not better.

This tea, blended with adagio's Samurai Mate almost perfectly recreates the Teavana blend that piqued my interest in tea years ago. Love it!
To create the blend, add 1 tsp of Samurai Mate and 2 tsp of White Ayurvedic Chai. Steep for 5 minutes @ 212°F.

This is a great tea for when you want chai, but you don't want too much caffine.

The lemongrass and pineapple make this chai tea taste less chai like to me. It is still a decent tea, but not really my cup of tea.

I love this tea! The flavors are exotic and wonderful. I combine this tea with the Samurai Chai tea and the flavors are heavenly!
