I don't know what changed about plain Lipton black tea since the 70s/80s when my Mom bought it, but the taste is almost completely different. It used to brew up with a reddish hue and had a malty/raisiny flavor. My mom always had a big box of it in her cupboard. But when I tried it as an adult, the taste is completely different. It's flat, bitter, cloudy, and brews up dark brown. No semblance of tea leaves in the tea bags anymore. It looks like pulverized powder. This is not drinkable and garbage tea. no more Brisk and malty cuppas. Yuck. I will not ever buy this again. I have moved on to better tea. Not cheapo orange pekoe pulvarized tea dust. Not even a good grocery store tea anymore. Celestial Seasonings, Bigelow and just about anybody else has better. It's sad. They went to cheaper tea I guess.....it's horrible.

I grew up on this bag tea and just loved it hot or iced. To be honest I love loose leaf tea, but I liked Lipton growing up because that is what we had to drink. Lol (sweeten with lots of sugar) Lol

This is my favorite ice tea brand! I have tried several other brands over the years if cheaper or after pandemic this was not available but I always come back to this as my favorite.

Well, it does it's job. This is a perfectly serviceable cup of tea and if you add some lemon or honey to it is not bad at all. Drink it plain or fancy it up yourself.

I used to drink the Yellow Label one with milk & sugar and can definitely say it was fine, but there are a lot of better teas out there.

It's ok, it is what I grew up with, so Lipton gets credit for introducing me to tea, I would still drink it if it is all a diner had to offer and wouldn't complain.

Before I knew about other teas, I drank lipton tea. Now that I am a little more knowledgeable about tea I can now say this is just ordinary, not really any flavor just tea.

Ya know - its LIPTON. its traditional its old fashion its like home.... but its boring at times too. However add some honey from Adiago Bees and its better.

This tea certainly... exists. I mean, some tea is better than no tea, but this one has a distinct tasting note of dust. Probably some combination of being low-quality fannings and being a bit stale to begin with. Technically responsible for getting me into tea by dint of being the first tea I had, so one-half of a lopsided gold star for that, I guess.

Sometimes I think using these tea bags makes better masala chai than if I use black loose leaf! But I really don't want to drink this tea on its own.

I was on this tea for iced tea for many years growing up. Now as an adult, it's horrible but my in-laws love it. So, 2 stars from me as a kid-teenager. (I didn't know any better) I only use Loose leaf tea as an iced tea. I have used loose leaf for many years. (much better tasting and it 's real tea)

If you're really hankering for some black tea it perfectly gets the job done, but you're much better off buying a different brand.

It's bitter and often leaves little bits at the bottom of the cup.

It’s not the worst or best tea. But if your in a pinch and need a caffeine fix. Just make sure to not over steep this tea. It can become bitter. I add sugar and cream to this. That’s how I enjoy my black teas.

Last time I had this was because my ex had a wholesale club membership and bought a 100 packet box because OMG SO HANDY. Before that, same deal but the previous ex. Both got through maybe 20 bags then never figured out a use for the rest. It's not bad. It's not good. It just is.

This tea is a last resort and and always will be. No flavor, just bitter

Even though this is one of the first teas that I started drinking, it holds no special place in my heart. After using loose leaf for several years, this just tastes powdery and muddy.

This is the tea where it all began for us and today I can’t imagine ever drinking this again.

Baseline grocery store tea. There's better stuff out there, but there's nothing really wrong with it, it's just boring and doesn't have any complexity.

I grew up with this, so it has a special place in my heart. It's black tea, not too bitter, perfect with cream and sugar or a slice of lemon.

Basic tea bagged tea. Not exceptional and not terrible.

Well, it's Lipton black. It's the most basic tea you can possibly imagine. It tastes bland and bitter, and not much else. At least it's inoffensive.

this tea sure is tea. have had this since childhood, and it's definitely good for sweet tea on a budget
