gunpowder green
(1 review)When John Harney started in the tea trade over 30 years ago, there were just two green tea offerings from China: Gunpowder and Chun Mee. Many people are very familiar with and enjoy the charred, sharp flavor. Dry Leaves: Green and tightly rolled, like something that might shoot out of a musket. Liquor: Varies from a bright yellow to a light brown. Aroma: A definite aroma of burnt wood. Caffeine Level: Caffeinated Body: Medium body from the heavy roasting. Flavors: The charred, barely vegetal flavor of heavily grilled leeks. Brewing Time: 2 to 3 minutes Brewing Temperature: 175° F

I'm usually not a fan of green tea, but this one was better than what I was expecting. I did enjoy the flavor.
