Matcha is a much beloved tea in Japan, however it can be overpowering and it is quite expensive. Luckily, someone created Matcha iri Genmiacha, which is best of both worlds. The bancha leaves and brown rice that make up Genmaicha are coated with the green tea powder that is Matcha, and the result is fantastic!

Many genmaichas are easy to oversteep and this is not one of them. Delicous flavor

This is the most delicious genmaicha I have ever tasted. If I could give it 6 stars I would. This one is best brewed in a glass mug, as it is a really unique shade of lime green. It is also turbid, due to the matcha particles. It looks like some kind of witch's brew or potion! The taste is exquisite. It has a nutty, toasty, sesame oil aroma and flavor that is warm and comforting and fills the senses. This is the only genmaicha I ever need to buy. (2.5 min./165)
