amba ceylon
(1 review)We came across this little gem late last year. It is from a group of Sri Lankan women that work with a former British aid worker to make very interesting hand made teas. So, this is sort of "direct aid". Dry Leaves: Dark leaves with tea flowers scattered throughout. Since it is hand rolled, the leaves are not as tightly twisted as most other teas. Liquor: A medium brown liquor with orange hues. Aroma: There are notes of honey, citrus and dried fruit with hints mango and marzipan. Caffeine Level: Caffeinated Body: With the big leaves, this tea is a light bodied black tea. Flavors: The citrus flavors combine with some sweetness like liquorice and honey. There are subtle floral notes. Brewing Time: 4 to 5 minutes Brewing Temperature: 212° F
