livingstonia gfop
Africa is starting to produce better and better teas, so we are buying more and more. This one from Tanzania is named after the famous explorer: David Livingstone. The tea is a full leaf that is reminiscent of a high grown Ceylon: light and lively. Dry Leaves: Tawny brown leaves that are larger than most other African teas, with some lighter colored pieces. GFOP is how the tea is described in the tea trade. The FOP (Flowery Orange Pekoe) refers to larger sized leaves and the G (Golden) refers to its golden tips. Liquor: Light brown. Aroma: Citrus with hints of spice, this tea is reminiscent of a nice Ceylon tea. Caffeine Level: Caffeinated Body: This is a light bodied black tea. Flavors: Citrus and spice mix nicely together. Easy on the milk and sugar, they will overpower the subtle flavors. Brewing Time: 4 to 5 minutes Brewing Temperature: 212° F
