throat coat
(28 reviews)The slippery elm tree has played an important role in Native American herbal medicine for hundreds of years. Inspired by its traditional use, we source our slippery elm domestically, where families collect the bark sustainably by hand to protect the trees for future generations.

We stack Throat Coat in our pantry at all times, but especially during change-of-season sore throat time. It was the one herbal blend that converted my husband to tea therapy!

I love this tea. It got hard to find for a moment and I panicked. I bought all I could find on amazon. It's definitely a staple.

Definitely good for soothing your throat. I steeped it for 10 min @ 212 and got a delicious sweet flavor from it. I tried steeping a second time, and while it still had nice flavor, it was lighter and didn't have that coating factor from the first cup.

The licorice and fennel in this tea are also good to have when your stomach feels a bit off, which is when I usually drink it. But of course it also has quite a nice taste!

This tea is my go-to when I'm feeling under the weather. I sang in a large choir in college, and our biggest performances always coincided with cold & flu season. I can't count how many times I managed to get sick in the leadup to big shows. A few days of vocal rest and mainlining Throat Coat always got me through concerts unscathed, and I still swear by it today.

So I was recommended this by a friend of mine, and I love this tea. I always drink it when I know I'm gonna play my horn a lot.

this is by far my favorite throat coat variety. Something I keep on hand at all times. It got me through strep without much pain at all. I highly recommend this tea to everyone as it also get sweet naturally the longer it steeps from the licorice root!

I've found this really soothing for sore throats. I like the taste - it'll a little sweet, so can be drank without a Sweetner.

Little bit of a weird flavor, and I didn't particularly notice it helping with a sore throat. In the past I've found things like chamomile and mint help me more.

I do like this tea. It is not the best blend, but in a pinch it does help with sore throats. Available at most health food stores.

This tea is very comforting when I have a sore throat or a cough. The flavor isn't the best but it does sooth the throat and live up to it's name.

Listen: it isn't delicious, but GOD is it effective. This tea has saved my life so many times. Like the one time I had to sing a matinee with strep, or all the times that I've been sick or overtaxed. Yes. Throat Coat is the bomb.

Flipping love this tea! Anytime my friends have not tried this tea I give them some because it's a little sweet but it works if you have a sore throat and tastes amazing (let's be honest I drink it even if I don't have a sore throat).

Love this stuff. Sweet without sugar, great smell, and it really does help a sore throat. I always keep a couple of boxes handy. It does seem to have a shelf life, though. Tastes substantially different when stale.
