Classic Japanese green tea, blended with toasted, popped rice. Originally created to stretch short supplies of tea, now enjoyed by tea lovers here and abroad. Warm and nutty with a lovely savory quality. A hearty cup of tea and truly satisfying. A great green tea for someone seeking a substantial, but less astringent, flavor from their cup.

Genmaicha tea is a comforting tea and reminds me of growing up in Japan. I usually sprinkle this on top of cooked rice and sip/eat it. Its very good when sick. The bagged genmaicha is good for traveling so there's no fuss in dealing with loose leaf.

This tea is pretty much Adagio's Genmai Cha in bagged form--beautiful pyramid bags in this case. I can attest that genmai cha is a delicious tea that seems pretty close to its tradtitional roots. It's one of my all time favorites, though I do prefer it loose.

I have bought this in both the loose-leaf and the bagged form, and I love both. Adagio's Genmai Cha is just delicious. I used to bring little packets of this to my former job, and when I needed a "time out" from the stress, I would sip it, smile, and chill. There is something that is just so comforting about the toasty rice and tiny popcorns mixed with the savory green tea. :D
