ceylon
(3 reviews)For tea purposes Sri Lanka is still known by its imperial name, Ceylon. Ceylon tea has a light, citrus-like character. This lovely 'afternoon tea' can be enjoyed with a dash of milk or a slice of lemon. Sri Lanka is famous for the quality of its high-grown teas. The combination of high altitude, rich soil and the clear, cool climate create a tea with a bright, golden appearance and delicate citrus notes.

Had a bit too citrus in it for a Ceylon as far as my tastebuds go. I often use this as a base and mix other tea in it. There are other Ceylons more mellow, which I was expecting.
